Colby College Athletics celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a panel of elite female athletes and held a youth clinic where eight Colby teams engaged with local youth to share their love of sports.

Ostrove Auditorium was filled to capacity as nearly 200 audience members engaged with guest speakers Izzy Wang '26 (lacrosse), Fiona Mejico '25 (track and field), Hilary Gehman '93 (crew), and Head Volleyball Coach Lindsay Johnson as they carried a discussion about how athletics have affected their lives.

The celebration culminated with a free clinic on February 8, 2025 where over 150 Colby and youth athletes gathered in the Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center for the NGWSD Youth Clinic. Eight Colby teams engaged with local girls to share their love of sports.
