NESCAC Player of the Week
Finn Cahill – Bowdoin – Fy. – DH/C – Westwood, Mass.
Cahill played a key role in Bowdoin's NESCAC-opening doubleheader sweep of Trinity, hitting .750 against the Bantams. Cahill went 2-for-2 in Game 1 with an RBI sacrifice fly in the fourth and the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth in a 5-4 win. The first-year went 4-for-6 in Game 2, with three out of four hits being doubles. Cahill drove in four runs and scored twice. For the week Cahill hit .500 and slugged .750 for the Polar Bears.
NESCAC Pitcher of the Week
Silas Reed – Tufts – Gr. – P – Brookline, Mass.
Reed posted his second double-digit strikeout start on Friday in the second game of a doubleheader against Bates. The graduate student registered 13 strikeouts over the complete game with four hits, a walk, and one earned run. Reed retired 10 in a row between the sixth and ninth innings. It was the most strikeouts by any Jumbo pitcher this season and the most since Reed himself put up 17 last season at Whittier.

Amherst –
Charlie LaFreniere (Norwalk, Conn.) had an OPS of 1.248 in a 1-2 week for the Mammoths, batting .556 with a .692 on-base-percentage. The sophomore scored two runs, knocked home one, and stole two bases … Sophomore
Yoon Chae (Virginia Beach, Va.) threw four innings of shutout relief, allowing only two hits and one walk while striking out four, in a 5-3 loss to Middlebury last week.
Bates –
Gibby Sullivan (Yarmouth, Maine) homered twice for Bates in a three-game series at Tufts. His two-run home run in the second inning of Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader capped off a five-run frame for the Bobcats, as Bates went on to win 6-3. The junior finished the doubleheader 3-for-7 with two runs scored, three RBI, two home runs, and a walk.
On the season, Sullivan sports a .970 OPS and is tied for the NESCAC lead in home runs with four …
John Tully (Framingham, Mass.) made his fourth start of the season, tossing six-plus innings in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against Tufts. The junior earned the win, giving up just two earned runs on six hits. Tully struck out a career-high six batters as the Bobcats won 6-3.
Bowdoin –
Jason Bogdanos (New York, N.Y.) appeared in two games for the Polar Bears last week. The senior started the week with an inning of work against the University of Southern Maine, allowing no hits while striking out a pair helping the Polar Bears defeat the Huskies for the first time since 2018. Bogdanos got the start in Game 1 against Trinity and worked six innings, allowing six hits. The senior hurler fanned two batters and held the Bantams off the board until the fifth inning.
Colby –
Corey Aubuchon (Westminster, Mass.) reached base on 13 of his last 25 plate appearances to close out Colby's Spring Break trip. The first-year collected 10 RBI over that span, including a 3-for-3 performance against St. Olaf with three RBI and a 2-for-4 showing against Purchase with three runs scored and four RBI …
Greg Levin (New York, N.Y.) had two quality relief appearances in Colby's southern trip, hurling 1.1 innings against St. Olaf without surrendering a run and pitching three innings against Williams, allowing one earned run. The junior has made four relief appearances this season, totaling 7.1 innings, striking out eight, and allowing just a single earned run.
Hamilton –
Gianni DiCerbo (Altamont, N.Y.) hit .438 with a .571 on-base percentage in a 2-4 week for the Continentals. DiCerbo played in five of those games and had at least one hit in each game. The sophomore scored six runs, drove in three, walked three times and was hit by a pitch twice. DiCerbo went 3-for-4 with a walk and a double in a 6-5 win in eight innings at Wesleyan. It was DiCerbo's first three-hit game … Eddie Taylor didn't allow any runs in three appearances that covered six innings. Taylor picked up the win with 5.1 innings of relief, allowing four hits and striking out five, and the Continentals prevailed 6-5 in eight innings at Wesleyan. The senior faced one batter and struck them out in a 12-2 victory against Lawrence. Taylor gave up a hit and fanned a batter in another short relief appearance in a 6-3 setback at Wesleyan.
Trinity – Rookie
Timothy Domizio (Fairfield, Conn.) led the Bantams from the dish, batting .364 (4-11) with a double, triple, home run, seven runs batted in, and two runs scored. In a 7-3 win over Western Connecticut, Domizio went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI, and then followed with a 2-for-4 performance with a double, a home run, four RBI, and a run scored in the opening game against Bowdoin.
Tufts –
Nick Banner (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) entered the game versus UMass Boston as a pinch-hitter and matched the season high in single-game RBI for the Jumbos with three in the midweek 5-4 win against the Beacons. In the seventh, the rookie drove a double down the right-field line to score two runs. Against Bates, Banner added two more RBI in Game 2 to secure the most RBI for any Jumbo this week. Banner finished the week hitting .500 with five hits, five RBI, and one run scored.
Wesleyan –
Tanner Mahon (Los Angeles, Calif.) tossed a seven-inning gem in Game 1 of the weekend series against Hamilton, allowing just four hits and one earned run with four strikeouts. Mahon's first career start against a NESCAC opponent was also the longest appearance of the sophomore’s career as he helped guide Wesleyan to a 6-3 win over the Continentals.
Williams –
James O'Connor (West Newton, Mass.) went 7-for-14 at the plate, with five runs, four RBI, two home runs, and two doubles, during a five-game week for the Ephs on their spring break trip to Florida. The senior went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBIs, one home run, and one double in a 13-10 win over Colby on Thursday. O'Connor also went 2-for-5, with one RBI, one double, and one run, against Union on Tuesday. The first baseman maintained a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage for the week, with 22 putouts and one assist on 23 total chances ... Sophomore
Owen McHugh (Milton, Mass.) started and pitched six strong innings, allowing only three runs and striking out eight against Colby on Friday in Davenport, Florida.
