The top three seeds and No. 5 Colby, last year’s NESCAC Runner-Up, advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 NESCAC Women’s Soccer Championship. The No. 1-seeded Tufts Jumbos will host the remaining rounds of the tournament at Bellow Field on November 8 and 9. Tufts is hosting the semifinals and final for the first time since 2019.
No. 1 Tufts def. No. 8 Wesleyan, 2-1 | Box Score
Senior Elsi Aires' goal in the 63rd minute broke a 1-1 tie and gave top-seeded Tufts a 2-1 win over No. 8 Wesleyan. Tufts grabbed an early 1-0 lead on Aoife O’Reilly’s second goal of the season in the 14th minute. Wesleyan equalized when Maria Utz scored her 10th goal of the season in the 37th minute. Coming out of halftime, Aires notched her 10th of the season, which proved to be the game-winner for the Jumbos. Tufts is advancing to the semifinals for the second straight year and makes its third appearance in four seasons.
No. 2 Williams def. No. 7 Bowdoin, 3-0 | Box Score
Williams scored three times in the second half to break open a 0-0 game and secure a 3-0 shutout victory over No. 7 Bowdoin. The Ephs return to the semifinals for the second time in three years. After a scoreless first half, Elizabeth Stophel’s fourth goal of the season gave Williams a 1-0 lead. Piper Dupies and Isabel Konijnenberg scored in the 75th and 79th minutes, respectively, to extend the Ephs’ lead to 3-0. These were the first goals of the season for Dupies and Konijnenberg. Charlotte Iannone kept Williams off the board in the first half, making five stops in the opening 45 minutes and finishing the game with 10 saves overall.
No. 3 Middlebury def. No. 6 Hamilton, 2-0 | Box Score
Middlebury shut out No. 6 Hamilton with two first-half goals from Gigi Day and Kjersti Mortiz. The Panthers advance to the NESCAC Semifinals for the first time since 2021. In the 22nd minute, Day pounced on a rebound off a save by the Hamilton goalkeeper to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Mortiz’s first goal of the year extended the lead to 2-0 just before the halftime horn with a strike landing in the upper corner. Hamilton increased its chances in the second half, outshooting Middlebury 15-4, but could not beat Livia Davidson, who finished with eight saves and a clean sheet.
No. 5 Colby def. No. 4 Amherst, 2-0 | Box Score
The Colby Mules scored once in each half and kept No. 4 Amherst off the scoreboard in a 2-0 quarterfinal victory. Colby advances to the NESCAC Semifinals for the second straight year, marking just the second time in team history that the Mules have made consecutive trips to the semifinals. Eloisa Luczkow’s first goal of the year gave Colby a 1-0 lead with three minutes remaining in the first half. In the 78th minute, Abigail Jarvi doubled the Mules’ lead to 2-0 with her 10th goal of the season. The Mammoths increased the pressure, but the Colby defense and goalkeepers MK Marshall and Sadie Gardner combined for five saves, each playing a half in the game.
