Every Tuesday throughout the swimming & diving season, the NESCAC Performers of the Week will be announced. 

Men’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Carrick Shea – Connecticut College – So. – Grafton, Mass.
Shea posted lifetime bests in the 50 freestyle (20.59) and 100 freestyle (45.78) races on Saturday versus Middlebury. The sophomore also recorded a lifetime unsuited best split in the 50 breaststroke in the 200 medley relay (24.77).

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
AmherstOwen Vale (Avon, Comm.) started his first year with a flourish in the dual meet with Colby, competing across a number of strokes and disciplines and putting up times that are all top 2 in the conference. Vale won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:53.71, finished second to a fellow Mammoth teammate in the 200 breaststroke (2:08.87), and then won the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.37. 

Bates - Marrich Somridhivej (West Hartford, Conn.) had a phenomenal opening weekend of racing. The senior posted a split of 24.03 in the winning medley relay, along with times of 55.5 in the 100 breaststroke and 19.87 in the 50 freestyle split in the winning 200 freestyle relay.

ColbyAmaan Siddiqui (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) had an impressive first collegiate meet, and his efforts helped lead Colby to its victory over Amherst. Siddiqui won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.46 (currently the top time in NESCAC) and the 100 freestyle (47.60). The rookie also placed third in the 500 freestyle (4:51.63) and finished the day leading off Colby’s winning 200 freestyle relay (1:24.28).

TrinityOwen Schmidt (South Hamilton, Mass.) had a strong start to the competition season with a 6-dive personal best of 213.45 points on the 1-meter board and was .12 off a personal best on 3-meter with 212.48 points. The senior took first on both boards, contributing points in the Bantams' close meet with Skidmore. 

Wesleyan - First-year Evan Byun (Piedmont, Calif.) delivered an outstanding collegiate debut, immediately establishing himself as a key contributor in the breaststroke events. The rookie opened the season with a time of 1:01 in the 100 breaststroke, just one second off his lifetime best, to earn first place against Springfield College. Byun continued his strong momentum by winning the 200 breaststroke, showcasing both speed and endurance in his signature events. The first-year also delivered the fastest breaststroke split on Wesleyan’s medley relay, giving the Cardinals a crucial boost.

Williams - Gabe Lee (Lexington, Mass.) put together a great performance, earning two individual wins and playing a crucial role in two relays. Lee started the meet with a strong lead-off leg in the 200 medley relay, posting a 24.06 backstroke split. The senior also claimed victories in both the 100 backstroke (51.67) and the 100 freestyle (47.21), showcasing his speed across multiple events. Lee closed the meet by anchoring the 400 freestyle relay with a speedy time of 46.83
