HADLEY, Mass. – Tufts garnered the No. 1 seed in the 2025 NESCAC Men's Soccer Championship. The Jumbos are the top seed for the second consecutive season and the fourth time in team history.
 
The tournament begins with quarterfinal action on Saturday, November 1 at the higher seeds. The four quarterfinal winners advance to the semifinal round on Saturday, November 7 at the highest remaining seed. The championship game is set for Sunday, November 8 at the site of the semifinal host.

No. 1 Tufts (11-1-3, 6-1-3 NESCAC) vs. No. 8 Bates (7-5-3, 3-5-2 NESCAC)
	- Tufts is the No. 1 for the second straight year and fourth time in team history
- The Jumbos clinched a home quarterfinal for the third straight season and 11th time in the last 12 seasons.
- Tufts is unbeaten in its last 13 matches and has posted a shutout in its last five games.
- The Jumbos have won the NESCAC title three times (last: 2021).
	- Bates is back in the NESCAC Tournament for the first time since 2019 and is the No. 8 seed for the first time since 2017.
- The Bobcats started the season 4-0-1, and their seven wins are the most since 2019.
- Bates is looking for its first NESCAC Tournament win since 2006.
- Tufts posted a 2-0 victory over the Bobcats on October 11. The teams have met once in NESCAC Tournament play, with Tufts winning a 2017 quarterfinal match, 3-0.
No. 2 Wesleyan (8-3-4, 5-1-4 NESCAC) vs. No. 7 Amherst (8-4-3, 4-4-2 NESCAC)
	- Wesleyan has qualified for the tournament for the sixth straight season. The Cardinals grabbed the No. 2 seed with a 1-1 tie versus Conn. College in the final game of the regular season.
- Wesleyan is the No. 2 seed for the first time since 2013, the same season the Cardinals last hosted a quarterfinal match.
- The Cardinals’ last NESCAC Tournament win was in 2015, the same year they reached the championship game for the second time in team history.
- Wesleyan is 6-1-3 in its last 10 matches.
	- Amherst has qualified for every NESCAC Tournament. The Mammoths are the No. 7 seed for the first time in program history.
- The Mammoths have reached the semifinals 16 times, including two of the last three seasons, and captured the NESCAC title two of the last three years.
- Overall, Amherst owns seven NESCAC titles, the most of any team in the conference.
- Wesleyan won the regular season meeting, 2-1, on October 4, but the Mammoths own a 5-2-1 mark against the Cardinals in the NESCAC Tournament. The teams last met in the 2023 quarterfinals, with Amherst winning 1-0.
No. 3 Bowdoin (10-2-3, 5-2-3 NESCAC) vs. No. 6 Middlebury (8-4-2, 4-4-2 NESCAC)
	- Bowdoin has qualified for the NESCAC Tournament for the fifth consecutive season and is the No. 3 seed for the first time since 2017.
- The Polar Bears reached the semifinals for the 14th time in program history last year as the No. 8 seed.
- Bowdoin posted seven straight shutouts to close the regular season and is 6-0-2 in its last eight matches.
	- Middlebury is the No. 6 seed for the first time since 2019, and the Panthers have qualified for every NESCAC Tournament.
- The 2024 NESCAC Runners-Up, Middlebury, has reached the semifinals in each of the last five seasons and owns three championships (last: 2019).
- The Panthers have won three straight and are 5-1 in their last six matches.
- Bowdoin recorded a 1-0 clean sheet against Middlebury on October 4. The Panthers hold a 5-1-3 advantage in the NESCAC Tournament series. The matchup is a rematch of the 2024 semifinal, which Middlebury won, 1-0.
No. 4 Williams (8-3-4, 5-3-2 NESCAC) vs. No. 5 Conn. College (8-2-5, 4-2-4 NESCAC)
	- The Ephs are the No. 4 for the second straight year and will host a quarterfinal for the second consecutive season.
- Williams has earned a spot in every NESCAC Men’s Soccer Tournament and has won the title six times (last: 2009).
- The Ephs went 7-0-3 to start the season and rank third among the conference teams with 31 goals.
	- The Camels are the defending NESCAC Champion after winning their first title in program history last season.
- Conn. College is the No. 5 seed for the first time since 2016 and has earned a berth to the NESCAC Tournament for the 14th year in a row. The Camels have played in the last four semifinals and reached the championship game three of the last four years.
- Conn. College is 6-0-2 in its last eight matches, with all six wins being shutouts.
- The Camels earned a 1-0 win over Williams on October 25, and the NESCAC postseason series is knotted at 2-2-2. The quarterfinal game is a rematch of the 2024 semifinals, where Conn. College registered a 2-1 victory.

Middlebury and Amherst both finished with 14 points. In head-to-head competition, the teams tied. Both teams have identical league win percentages and conference wins after finishing with 4-4-2 records. In comparing results against the top four teams, including all teams at the fourth spot (Tufts, Wesleyan, Williams, and Bowdoin), Middlebury went 1-3-0 and Amherst went 0-3-1 as Middlebury earned the No. 6 seed and Amherst earned the No. 7 seed.
