NESCAC Player of the Week
Lucas Flemming - Sr. - IF - Edina, Minn.
Flemming was phenomenal over the weekend, helping Middlebury claim its third NESCAC Championship and second in the last three years. The Panther was a combined 5-for-8 over the opening pair of victories, including three runs, two RBI, a double, and a round-tripper. In the bottom of the ninth on Saturday, Flemming took the first pitch he saw and launched it over the fence in right-center for the 6-5 walk-off triumph to book Middlebury's spot in the championship series.
NESCAC Pitcher of the Week
Emmet George - Fy. - P - Mill Valley, Calif.
George held Tufts scoreless in seven innings in the winner-take-all NESCAC Championship game on Sunday afternoon. The Panther earned the third victory of his career, allowing just four hits in 23 Jumbo at-bats. George tallied over 100 pitches during the contest and struck out three, helping Middlebury claim its third conference title and second in the last three years.
