NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week
Charlotte Rasmussen – Amherst – So. – OPP – Los Angeles, Calif.
Rasmussen led Amherst in sweeps over Bowdoin and Connecticut College last weekend. The sophomore hit .475 for the week and 32 kills (5.3 kills per set). Against the Polar Bears, Rasmussen had 20 kills in three sets along with two service aces and a dig with a hitting pct. of .447. In the 3-0 win over the Camels, the sophomore had 12 kills in three sets, six digs, three blocks, and two service aces with a hitting pct. of .524.

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Bates – Sophomore Emma Patard (Outremont, Quebec) registered a season-high six kills at Trinity and followed up with five kills and one dig against Wesleyan. The Bobcats won the second set against the Cardinals, and it was Patard who delivered back-to-back kills at the end to secure a 27-25 victory.

Bowdoin –First-year Skye LaMendola (Farmers Branch, Texas) had 23 kills and 10 digs as the Polar Bears defeated Williams 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Colby – In a win over Brandeis, Brady Moseley (San Juan Capo, Calif.) hit .333 with only three errors and set a new career high with 18 kills. The first-year added 13 digs and two service aces in the match.

Conn. CollegeEmma Wheeler (Meredith, N.H.) led the Camels to a 1-1 record in NESCAC play with 15 kills, six digs, one block, and a team-high eight block assists last week. In a five-set win over Williams, the senior hit .435 and finished with 11 kills, six block assists, and three digs, helping Conn. earn its first win over the Ephs since 2012. Wheeler also recorded four kills, two block assists, and a block in a loss to Amherst.

HamiltonSummer McClintic (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) averaged 2.7 kills per set and 2.8 digs in 10 sets and added three aces and four blocks in a 1-1 week. McClintic posted a career-high 17 kills and tied a season-best with 14 digs in a five-set win against Tufts – the Continentals' first against the Jumbos since 1995. The senior added 10 kills and 14 digs in a five-set loss against SUNY Cortland. McClintic has four double-doubles in kills and digs in the last five matches.

MiddleburyGabbie O’Toole (Overland Park, Kan.) totaled 109 assists (9.08 per set), 28 digs (2.33 per set), and 10 service aces over three matches. Against Tufts, O’Toole tallied a double-double (31 assists, 11 digs) to help Middlebury top the Jumbos in straight sets for the first time since 2012. On Saturday, O’Toole recorded a career-best five service aces and tallied 40 assists for the second time this season, extending Middlebury’s winning streak to six straight victories. Both totals rank in the top three in the NESCAC for four-set matches. The junior closed the weekend out with her second double-double, tallying 38 assists and 11 digs against Rochester in a five-set loss. O’Toole became just the fifth player in Middlebury history to eclipse 2,000 assists and sits fifth place with 2,022.

Trinity – Sophomore Ellie Gordon (Los Angeles, Calif.) racked up 16 kills and three blocks in a 2-0 week for the Bantams. Gordon tallied nine kills and three blocks in a three-set sweep of Bates and then notched seven kills in a 3-0 win over Colby. 

Tufts – Rookie Emma Heckman (San Diego, Calif.) had another strong week for the Jumbos, despite Tufts suffering a pair of losses to Middlebury and Hamilton on the road. At Middlebury, Heckman hit .273 while posting seven kills and two total blocks and followed up with a career-high 12 kills along with four total blocks in a five-set loss to the Continentals. 

WesleyanSophia Lindus (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the Cardinals with 41 kills (4.1 per set) across three matches which included wins over Colby and Bates and a 3-1 loss at NYU. The sophomore added four service aces, 24 digs (2.4 per set), and two blocks to her weekly totals in three matches and 10 sets played. Lindus recorded double-digit kills in all three matches and tallied her third double-double of the season with 17 kills and 12 digs in the loss to the Violets. Lindus posted a .480 hitting percentage with 13 kills and one error in 25 attempts against Bates. 

Williams – Senior Lauren Kauppila (New York, N.Y.) averaged 9.78 assists per set in the Ephs' two conference matches last weekend, including 54 total assists against Connecticut College on Friday. Kauppila also chipped in 20 digs, six services aces, and one solo block in the two matches.
