HADLEY, Mass. – Trinity College is the top seed for the 2022 NESCAC Women’s Squash Championship. Hamilton College will host all rounds of the event, February 11-13. First-round matches are set to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 11 and the championship match is scheduled for 12 p.m. on February 13.

2020 NESCAC Championship Recap
Trinity captured its 14th consecutive NESCAC crown with an 8-1 win over No. 2 Williams at Wesleyan’s Rosenbaum Squash Center. Williams collected runner-up honors for the 11th time overall as the Bantams and Ephs met in the championship match for the sixth straight year. No. 5 Middlebury defeated No. 3 Amherst, 6-3, in the third-place match while No. 4 Bates posted a 6-3 win over No. 6 Tufts to finish fifth. No. 7 Wesleyan earned a 7-2 win over No. 8 Bowdoin to finish seventh.

Notes: Trinity is the No. 1 seed for the 15th straight tournament … The Bantams have won every NESCAC Women’s Squash title since the tournament started in 2007 … Trinity will face the winner of the 8/9 match between Hamilton and Wesleyan in the quarterfinal round … The Bantams did not face either team in the regular season … Trinity improved to 2-0 versus Hamilton with a 7-2 win in the 2018 quarterfinals and is 4-0 against Wesleyan following a 9-0 win in the 2019 quarterfinals … Trinity’s only loss of the season is a 6-3 setback to Harvard.

Notes: Tufts’ No. 2 seed is the highest in program history … The Jumbos will play the winner of the 7/10 match between Middlebury and Connecticut College … Tufts defeated Connecticut College, 9-0, on November 20 and is 7-3 against the Camels in the NESCAC Championship … The Jumbos defeated Connecticut College, 9-0, in the first round of the 2017 championship … Tufts did not face Middlebury this season and suffered a 9-0 loss to the Panthers in the 2017 quarterfinals, the only match between the schools in the NESCAC Championship … The Jumbos finished sixth in 2020.
