CLINTON, N.Y. – The Trinity women’s squash extended its streak of NESCAC Championships to19 straight with an 8-1 win over Tufts at the Little Squash Center on the campus of Hamilton College.
The Bantams started the day with an 8-1 win over No. 4 Middlebury and closed out the championship with an 8-1 win over the Jumbos.
Seven Bantams went 3-0 in the two-day tournament. Kitsy Fox delivered the clinching point in the championship match at the No. 7 spot.
Tufts reached the championship game for the fifth straight year. The third-seeded Jumbos battled No. 2 Amherst to a 5-4 win. Vharsha Dinesh clinched the match for Tufts with a 3-1 win (11-5, 12-10, 6-11, 11-6) at the No. 1 spot on the ladder. Dinesh was the lone Jumbo to earn a point in the championship match, defeating her Trinity opponent, 3-1.
