HADLEY, Mass. - The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) announced its women’s squash awards for the 2025-26 season, as voted by the league’s coaches.
Trinity’s Kara Lincou was named the NESCAC Player of the Year. A three-time All-NESCAC performer, Lincou helped the Bantams win their 19th consecutive NESCAC title. The No. 3 player on the Trinity ladder, Lincou posted 15 wins this season and won over 50 matches during her career. Lincou was a finalist for the 2026 CSA Betty Richey Award, presented annually to the player who best exemplifies the ideals of squash through sportsmanship, devotion to the game, excellence in play, and leadership. Lincou's selection is the 16th time since 2008 a Bantam has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Year.
Trinity newcomer Thanussa Uthrian was voted as the NESCAC Rookie of the Year. The rookie played at the top of the Trinity ladder and advanced to the quarterfinals of hte CSA Individual Championships. Uthrian helped the Bantams win their 19th straight NESCAC title and is the 11th Trinity player to earn NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors since 2008.
The Tufts coaching staff was selected as the NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year by their peers for the third time since 2019. Head coach Joe Raho, in his ninth season at Tufts, along with assistants Alex Grayson and Gary Gargan, guided the Jumbos to a 12-9 record this season, the finals of the NESCAC Tournament for the fifth year in a row, and the program's first win in the Howe Cup at the CSA National Team Championships.
