Lopez, Raj & Salunkhe Earn CSA Women's Squash All-America Honors

Trinity College women's squash sophomore Sarahi Lopez was named to the College Squash Association (CSA) 2019-20 All-American First Team, while senior tri-captain Vanessa Raj and junior Akanksha Salunkhe both graced the CSA All-American Second Team.

Lopez, who repeats as a CSA All-American and All-NESCAC First Team selection, finished second on the Bantam squad in wins and winning percentage with a 17-3 mark while playing in the top third of the Trinity lineup in 2019-20. She went 14-2 in dual matches, including a 2-1 record in the Howe Cup and closed the season by going 3-1 in the CSA National Singles Championship "A" Division Ramsay Tournament to win the consolation title. The 2019 NESCAC Rookie and Player of the Year, had reached the CSA National Singles Championship Quarterfinals as a first-year in 2019.
Raj, a four-time All-American and All-NESCAC selection, completed the best statistical season in the history of Trinity women's squash with a perfect 18-0 record playing in the middle of the Trinity lineup. She was the lone Bantam to go 3-0 in the Howe Cup and won one of the four CSA National Singles Championship Holleran Division titles for the third year in a row. She ends her Trinity career with a 64-7 record which ranks fourth in Trinity history in both wins and winning percentage (.901). She also won 10 of 12 Howe Cup matches. Raj was a CSA All-American and an All-NESCAC First Team honoree, as well as the NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2017, and collected both All-American and All-NESCAC Second Team honors the last three seasons.
Salunkhe, who is a repeat CSA Second Team All-American honoree, went 16-6 overall, 16-4 in dual matches and 2-1 in the Howe Cup while playing in Trinity's top third of the ladder. Salunkhe has won over 50 matches as a three-year starter for the Bantams and won one of the four CSA National Singles Championship Holleran Division title as a sophomore in 2018-19.
