HADLEY, Mass. - The New England Small College Athletic Conference announced today the 2005-06 Men's Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team. The top three finishers in each event at the 2006 NESCAC Men's Swimming and Diving Championship receive All-Conference recognition.
Williams senior Will Cunningham (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) closed out his NESCAC Championship career with his fourth Swimmer of the Meet award in tow, setting a championship record in the 100-yard freestyle along with claiming individual titles in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard individual medley. Cunningham also helped his squad claim four relay titles, as Williams went on to earn its fourth consecutive NESCAC championship. He also was named the Four-Year High Point Swimmer for his career performance at the championships. Hamilton diver Mike Salmon (Lowville, N.Y.) earned Diver of the Meet after finishing first in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, along with being named Four-Year High Point Diver.
Tufts second year head coach Adam Hoyt was named Swimming Coach of the Year, while Hamilton co-diving coaches Todd Kolean and James Ray were named Diving Coaches of the Year.
