TEMPE, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2026 ITA Division III Men’s National Award recipients. Every year, the ITA recognizes coaches and student-athletes for their excellence both on the court and in their communities throughout the season. Kiran Garapati of Bowdoin is the 2026 ITA Division III Men’s Player to Watch.

The Division III national awards include: ITA Dunlop/Coach of the Year, ITA Assistant Coach of the Year, Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award, ITA Rookie of the Year, ITA Most Improved Senior, ITA Senior Player of the Year, and the ITA Player to Watch.

Playing from the No. 6 singles line just a year ago, Garapati has risen all the way up to the No. 2 singles position this season and has thrived. Ranked No. 18 in the ITA Singles Rankings, Garapati went 21-10 this season in singles and doubles, earning wins over many of the nation’s top players. His efforts helped lead Bowdoin to the final site, where it finished as a national quarterfinalist. Garapati was selected to participate in the NCAA Singles Championship this season as well for his efforts throughout the season.

2026 ITA National Award Winners
