NESCAC Women’s Lacrosse Co-Players of the Week
Caroline Adams – Middlebury – Sr. – A – Norwich, Vt.
Adams was the sparkplug for Middlebury as the Panthers defeated a pair of ranked opponents. The senior totaled 13 points on seven goals and six assists while winning 14 draws. Adams opened the slate with a career-high eight points (3G, 5A) in a 10-4 win over No. 24 Trinity and added eight draw controls. At No. 10 Franklin and Marshall, Adams scored four times, had one assist, and six draws in a 16-2 victory. Adams is Middlebury’s leader in points (27) and assists (11).
Lindsey Diomede – Wesleyan – Sr. – M – Westwood, Mass.
Diomede helped the No. 2-ranked Cardinals post a 2-0 record with a pair of wins over ranked opponents, where Wesleyan allowed just nine combined goals. For the week Diomede totaled 10 caused turnovers, six ground balls, and six draw controls. The senior recorded four draw controls, four caused turnovers, four ground balls, and one assist in a 12-5 road win over No. 16 Stevens. Against Colby, Diomede added six caused turnovers, two ground balls, and two draw controls, helping lift Wesleyan to a 10-4 win over the Mules. The win marked the first time the Cardinals have beaten Colby since 2019. Wesleyan's defense totaled 21 caused turnovers, a school single-game record against a NESCAC opponent.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Kate Becker (Princeton, N.J.) totaled eight points in a 2-0 week for the Mammoths, who defeated Smith, 22-3, and Bates, 12-4. In the win over the Bobcats, Becker dished out four assists and scored once to lead the Mammoths. In the victory over Smith, the senior recorded three assists, giving her seven helpers in two games.
Bates – Sophomore
Sarah Stavrovich (Westfield, N.J.) tallied a pair of goals against Amherst and followed that up with two goals, one assist, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a 20-7 win over UMass Dartmouth. Junior
Laci Raveis (Fairfield, Conn.) tallied the 100th point of her career with a goal against Amherst.
Bowdoin – First-year
Grace Schorr (Rockport, Maine) scored her first collegiate hat trick on Saturday against Williams.
Colby – Senior
Stella Regan (Franklin, Mass.) had six points across two games last week. The senior scored a goal and added three assists against Southern Maine and tallied a pair of assists in a setback against Wesleyan. Regan ranks third in NESCAC with 2.00 assists per game.
Conn. College - Senior attack
Campbell Johnston (Duxbury, Mass.) led Conn. College against Hamilton in the lone game of the week for the Camels. Johnston tallied the first two goals for Conn. while adding a career-high three draw controls and one ground ball.
Hamilton –
Eliza Schwarz (New York, N.Y.) finished the week with a 6.67 goals against average and .600 save percentage in 90 minutes of action. In a 12-4 win against Connecticut College in Florida, Schwarz made nine saves and scooped up three ground balls. The junior stopped half of the 12 shots on goal in the first half of an 11-8 setback against SUNY Geneseo.
Tufts - Allie Zorn (Bedford, Mass.) contributed to a pair of wins last week, including a 16-7 win over No. 18 Chicago. For the week, the senior netted six goals to go with one assist. At MIT, Zorn finished with two scores and one helper in a 17-6 win, and tallied four scores in a win over Chicago.
Williams – Senior
Franny Donohue (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) totaled six goals, seven assists, and 13 points in a 2-0 week for the Ephs. Donohue recorded career-highs of five assists and eight points, to go along with three goals, in a 15-4 victory over RPI, then tallied three goals, two assists, and five points in a 9-6 NESCAC win over visiting Bowdoin.
