NESCAC Player of the Week
Marie-Eve Marleau – Amherst – Sr. – F – Saint-Anicet, Quebec
Marleau had a hand in all four Mammoth goals last week, scoring one and assisting on three others, as No. 6 Amherst swept Hamilton, 1-0 (OT) and 3-0. In overtime on Saturday, Marleau drove to the net, taking a close-angle shot that resulted in a rebound, which led to the game-winner from teammate Gretchen Dann. Sunday, Marleau scored just under four minutes into the game with what proved to be the game-winner, then assisted on the other two Mammoth goals in the 3-0 win. The senior’s 11 assists this season are a career high, as is her 19 points. Marleau’s goal Sunday was her eighth of the season, tying a career high.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Bowdoin – Sophomore
Meghan Britt (Arlington, Mass.) had an assist in each game against Williams over the weekend, lifting her team-leading total to 21 points on the season (9G, 12A).
Colby –
Sophia Kennedy (Winthrop, Mass.) led the Mules to a 3-1 victory over No. 9 Middlebury Saturday. The senior broke a 1-1 deadlock late in the third quarter, scoring the eventual game-winner with six minutes to play. Kennedy added an empty net goal minutes later to seal the win.
Conn. College - Senior forward
Sydney Frank (Stillwater, N.Y.) led Conn. College in the final two games of the regular season. On Tuesday night against Johnson and Wales, Frank netted a career-best two goals, tying the score at 1-1 in the first period, before adding an insurance marker in the third. For the week, Frank also added nine face-off wins and one blocked shot.
Hamilton – Junior
Teagan Brown (Northville, Mich.) tied a season high with 36 saves in the Continentals' 1-0 overtime setback against Amherst on Saturday.
Middlebury –
Avery McInerny (Westford, Mass.) tallied a career-high three assists to help lead the team to a 3-2 victory in the Panthers’ opening game against No. 11 Colby. McInerny capped the weekend with Middlebury’s lone goal in a 3-1 setback to the Mules. The senior is tied for the conference and team lead with 20 assists.
Wesleyan – Needing a result on Saturday to secure a spot in the NESCAC Tournament, senior
Dylan Green (Pittsburg, Pa.) netted one goal and added two assists, scoring or assisting on all three Wesleyan goals in a 3-1 win over Trinity. It was Green's second three-point night of the season, matching a career-high, while she reached the 20-point mark on the season with nine goals and 11 assists. Green is the first Cardinal since the 2014-15 season to reach 20 points in a single season.
Williams – Senior goaltender
Erin Pye (Third Lake, Ill.) of No. 9-ranked Williams stopped 71-of-75 shots and went 2-0 as the Ephs earned the No. 3 seed in the NESCAC Tournament with two 3-2 victories against Bowdoin. Pye stopped 39-of-41 shots in the win Saturday and 32-of-34 attempts Friday by the Polar Bears.
