NESCAC Player of the Week
Sarah Hughes – Bates – Jr. – G – Rumson, N.J.
Hughes scored 20 of her season-high 23 points in the final 25 minutes to propel the Bobcats to a 67-64 overtime victory over Hamilton in a NESCAC Quarterfinal game. The junior shot 10-for-18 from the field, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out four assists, and matched her season-high with three steals. Bates trailed by 20 points at halftime and by five with under a minute left before Hughes drilled a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to two. She scored five of the Bobcats' nine points in overtime.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Sophomore
Elizabeth Cain (Holden, Mass.) came off the bench to score a team-high 15 points in just 19 minutes on the court, shooting 63.6 percent (7-for-11) from the floor, and grabbing two rebounds as the Mammoths pulled away from Conn. College for a 77-55 NESCAC Quarterfinal win.
Bowdoin – Junior
Abbie Quinn (Bangor, Maine) and sophomore Grace Kinum (New Providence, N.J.) scored 19 points apiece in a 17-point NESCAC Quarterfinal win over Tufts. Quinn added seven boards, going 7-11 from the field, while Kinum grabbed five rebounds and had three assists.
Hamilton – Sophomore
Erica Hills (Dover, Mass.) tied a season high and led the Continentals with 19 points in their 67-64 overtime setback at Bates in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. Hills also grabbed five rebounds and added one assist and one steal.
Williams – Senior
Logan Coster (New York, N.Y.) scored a game-high 21 points, shooting 3-of-4 on 3-pointers, to go along with three rebounds, three assists, and two steals, in a 75-55 NESCAC Quarterfinal victory over No. 4-seeded Trinity.
