Williams Wins Opening Event of 2026 NESCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships

WATERVILLE, Maine – In the opening event of the 2026 NESCAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship hosted by Colby College, the Williams Ephs set a pool record in the 800 freestyle relay to win the event for the eighth year in a row.

The Williams foursome of Ryan Nunez, Nye Hanan, Harrison Williams, and Samuel Brozek shaved 14.07 seconds off the entry time en route to a winning time of 6:33.33. The Ephs claimed the NESCAC title in the event for the 18th time since 2001.

Conn. College was the runner-up with a time of 6:34.44, lowering the Camels’ entry time by 15.97 seconds, while the Tufts relay finished third (6:37.92) as all three relays posted NCAA B-cut times.

The NESCAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships continue on Friday. The morning prelim swims begin at 10 a.m. and the diving trials will start at 1 p.m. The evening finals are set for 6 p.m.
