NESCAC Women's Golfer of the Week
Zorah Williams – Trinity – Fy. – Mystic, Conn.
Williams finished as medalist of the Wesleyan Invitational at Silver Spring CC. The rookie was the only golfer among the 60 competitors to finish under par (-1, 140), with rounds of 69 and 71. Williams finished six strokes ahead of the runner-up and led all golfers with a tournament-best nine birdies. The invitational featured five nationally ranked teams, including three ranked in the top 10.
NESCAC Honor Roll
Bowdoin – Junior
Katie Ng (Wellesley Hill, Mass.) finished second at +5 at the Wesleyan Invitational with a two-day total of 146 (72-74) and led the No. 12 Polar Bears to the tournament title with a two-day total of 601 (298-303), 10 strokes better than runner-up Williams, in the 12-team field that featured five nationally ranked squads.
Hamilton - Shanya Arasu (Jacksonville, Fla.) led the Continentals to a runner-up finish (304-310-614) in the 10-team Hamilton College Invitational at Rome CC. The junior finished tied for second out of 51 golfers with a two-day total of 147 (+3), firing rounds of 75 and 73.
Wesleyan – Junior
Amanda Phillips (New York, N.Y.) finished tied for third with a 36-hole score of 149 (+8), with rounds of 75 and 74 at the season finale, the Wesleyan Invitational, held at Silver Spring CC. The tournament featured five nationally ranked teams, including three ranked in the top 10.
