FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Trinity jumped on host Farmingdale State College early in a 13-6 win in the First Round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament at Rams Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Bantams improve to 9-7 on the season, while the Rams wrap with a 16-4 mark.
The Bantams advance to the Second Round for the second time in program history, and the first time since 2012. Trinity will face No. 10 York College (Pa.) (16-3) at Kinsley Field in York, Pennsylvania on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
Trinity opened the game with four consecutive goals and held a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and led 9-3 at the half. Trinity limited Farmingdale State to three second-half goals en route to the 13-6 victory.
Eight different Bantams tallied a point, led by Jon Krikorian's four-point effort on two goals and two assists. Jay Ottomanelli added a hat trick and Jordan Opdahl made 14 saves in 59 minutes of game action. Adam Giovinco led the Rams with four points on two goals and two assists and Dan Erler was credited with 11 saves.
