Middlebury Claims First NESCAC Men's Track & Field Title Since 2019 and Third Overall

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The Middlebury Panthers posted 169 points to win the 2025 NESCAC Men's Track & Field Championship by five points over Amherst at Wesleyan's Andersen Track complex. The victory gave the Panthers their third NESCAC Men's Track & Field title and first since winning the championship in back-to-back years in 2018 and 2019.

Amherst was the NESCAC Runners-Up for the second straight season and fourth time in program history. The Mammoths combined for a NESCAC Championship program-best 164 points.

The Panthers won five events and posted 14 All-NESCAC performances. Dave Filias won the hammer throw for the third consecutive season with a throw of 57.47 meters. Teammate Sam McGarrahan captured the NESCAC title in the high jump with a mark of 2.00 meters. On the track, the Panthers' 4x100 relay of Marco Motroni, Emerson Kington, Hayden Bobowick, Donnell Harvey, Jr. combined for a winning time of 41.54 seconds. Xander Swann and Harvey, Jr. won NESCAC titles in the 400 meters (47.92) and 100 meters (10.79), respectively.
