Hamilton Maintains Lead at NESCAC Men's Golf Champoinship After Round 2

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Hamilton Continentals maintained the lead at the 2025 NESCAC Men's Golf Championship at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., following second-round action on Saturday. Golfers managed to get in a full 18-hole round despite playing in moderate rain spells throughout the day.
 
Hamilton holds a slim one-stroke lead over the field, and five strokes separate the top three teams. The Continentals combined for a team score of 295 during the second round and leads the tournament with a two-day score of 585. The Continentals carded 12 birdies, and Ramon Aroca Gonzalez posted his second eagle of the championship on hole No. 1 to begin his second round. Aroca Gonzalez finished the day at even par (71) for the second straight round and sits atop the leaderboard heading into the final round. Teammate Jaikrit Bharrachayra scored the lowest round of the day with a 1-under 70.

Trinity moved up one spot to second place after day two, posting a score of 292 for the round and 586 overall score for the tournament. The Bantams carded 11 birdies and Spencer Korona eagled the eighth hole to highlight the Trinity performance. Korona fired a 71 to pace the Bantams.
 
Amherst is in third place overall with a team score of 590 after posting a second-round team score of 298. Andrew Zhang led the Mammoths, carding a 72 on Saturday, and is tied with teammate Paari Kaviyarasu for second on the individual leaderboard.

The final day of the 54-hole tournament begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday (April 27).
