2024 Championship Recap | Results
Tufts and Middlebury captured their third consecutive NESCAC Men's and Women's Track & Field Champions, respectively, in 2024.

The Jumbos earned their third straight NESCAC Men's Track & Field title with 173.5 points on their home track and were the first program to win the conference crown at home since Middlebury in 2019. Tufts also won three straight NESCAC titles in 2013, 2014, and 2015 and owns eight titles overall.

The Jumbos won eight events and totaled 15 All-NESCAC performances. Luke Botsford paced the Jumbos with two record-breaking performances to win NESCAC titles in the 200 and 400-meter races. In the 200-meter race, Botsford's winning time of 21.06 broke the NESCAC Championship record of 21.31 set by Amherst's Mario Watts in 1994. Botsford also broke the 27-year-old NESCAC record of 47.56 held by Timothy Alsopp (Williams, 1997) in the 400-meter race as he claimed his second NESCAC crown of the day with a new time of 47.08. The senior was also part of the Jumbos' 4x100 relay that set a NESCAC Championship record with a time of 41.32.

The Williams 4x400 relay set a NESCAC Championship record with a time of 3:16.15 to break an eight-year-old mark in the event.

The Amherst Mammoths were the NESCAC Runners-Up for the first time since 1985. Amherst totaled 151.5 points, the most by the program at a NESCAC Championship. Williams placed third (117.5 pts) while Bates (110 pts) and Middlebury (76 pts) rounded out the top five teams.

The Middlebury Panthers posted 144 points to win the 2024 NESCAC Women's Track & Field Championship by eight points over runner-up Amherst (136 points). Audrey MacLean won the NESCAC titles in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase and the 5,000 meters while teammates Julia Tulimieri (shot put) and Jaxon Palmer (hammer) captured conference titles in the field events. Panthers also collected All-NESCAC honors in nine other events en route to the victory. Middlebury became the third NESCAC program to three-peat, joining Tufts and Williams. The Panthers, who won their fifth title overall, have won the last three titles by single-digit margins.

Amherst was the NESCAC Runners-Up for the first time in program history. The Mammoths combined for a NESCAC Championship program-best 136 points. Bowdoin placed third (120 pts) and Williams (113 pts) and Tufts (83 pts) rounded out the top five teams.

Two records were broken in the women's meet. The Colby 4x100 relay set a new mark with a time of 46.51 to break the record of 47.73 set by Williams last year. The Ephs established a new record in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:49.23, breaking an 11-year-old record held by Colby.

Championship History
Six schools have won the NESCAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field title, led by Williams with 23 overall. The Ephs' last NESCAC crowns came in 2016 and 2017. Tufts' title in 2024 was the eigth for the Jumbos, while Trinity won four titles between 1984 and 1989. Bates won two championships 12 years apart in 2000 and 2012 and Middlebury won back-to-back NESCAC Championships in 2018 and 2019. Colby claimed the NESCAC title in 1986.

Five programs have won a NESCAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field title. Williams owns 26 crowns and has won 18 of the last 22 titles. The Jumbos have won four NESCAC titles, including three straight from 1986 to 1988 to go along with their most recent championship in 2013. The Panthers' 2024 title marked the fifth time Middlebury claimed the top spot in the team standings to go along with the championships it won in 1998 and 2000. Bowdoin won back-to-back championships in 1992 and 1993 and Colby claimed the conference titles in 1984 and 1985.
