NESCAC Player of the Week
Brooks Hauser – Tufts – Jr. – A – Denver, Colo.
Hauser helped Tufts earn a pair of wins at the Callum Robinson Mustang Classic. Hauser tallied seven goals over two games. In a 14-8 win over Hamilton, Hauser tallied three goals on seven shots, adding two ground balls. The junior tallied a game-high four goals, including three tallies in the Jumbos’ decisive nine-goal rally that saw them go from trailing 9-8 to the eventual 17-11 win over No. 3 RIT.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Junior
Bob Gross (Potomac, Md.) tallied 11 points on seven goals and four assists in a 2-0 week for the Mammoths. In an 11-5 win over Springfield, Gross netted a hat trick, while contributing four goals and three assists in a 14-8 victory at Colby.
Bates –
Ben Miller (Scarsdale, N.Y.) posted three caused turnovers, two ground balls, a goal, and an assist in a 16-7 win over Keene State on Tuesday. The senior added three caused turnovers, three ground balls, another goal, and another assist against No. 18 Middlebury on Saturday. Miller leads the NESCAC with 2.83 caused turnovers per game.
Bowdoin –
Patrick Fitzgerald (Chevy Chase, Md.) paced Bowdoin's offense in a pair of wins this week. The senior scored a season-high five goals in a midweek win over Endicott and matched his offensive output in Bowdoin's 22-12 victory over Connecticut College. Fitzgerald had a pair of assists on Wednesday, and another helper in Saturday's game as the Polar Bears begin the year 5-0.
Colby –
Gavin Rothenberg (Westport, Conn.) collected his third straight hat trick in a setback against Amherst. The sophomore tallied three of Colby's final four goals in the contest. Rothenberg ranks sixth in the NESCAC in goals per game (2.75).
Conn. College –
Aidan McAvoy (Charlotte, N.C.) netted his first hat trick of the season at Bowdoin over the weekend. The senior scored all three goals in the second half en route to his sixth career hat trick.
Hamilton – Senior
Jack Fried (Larchmont, N.Y.) made a season-high 18 saves in a 14-8 setback against Tufts at Stevenson's Callum Robinson Mustang Classic. Fried stopped 11 shots in a 10-6 loss against Gettysburg in Maryland. Junior
Thomas Healy (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored a season-high four goals against Tufts. Sophomore
Riley Chai-Onn (Rockville, Md.) scooped up a career-high six ground balls. Senior
Jake Mair (Middleton, Mass.) caused five turnovers, the most in a game by a Continental since the 2023 season opener. Against Gettysburg, sophomore
Reece Hickey (West Chester, Pa.) won 12-of-18 faceoffs and picked up a season-high seven ground balls. Senior
Will Heher (Essex, Conn.) topped Hamilton with three points on two goals and an assist. Heher has scored two goals in three of the last four games.
Middlebury –
Billy Curtis (Beverly Farms, Mass.) helped Middlebury hold off Bates for a 17-11 victory, marking the first win of the season for the Panthers. Curtis led all players with eight points (5G, 3A) while also collecting five groundballs. The senior’s five goals tied his career-high.
Trinity –
Jon Krikorian (Boston, Mass.) led the Bantams to a pair of victories last week, including a 16-12 win over No. 15 St. John Fisher. In a 10-4 victory over Western Connecticut, Krikorian logged a team-high four points with three goals and an assist. The senior followed with six points in the win over St. John Fisher, potting a pair of goals, including the game-winner, and dishing out a game-high four assists.
Wesleyan - Graduate student
CK Giancola (Fort Myers, Fla.) exploded for a career-high nine points on six goals and three assists in Wesleyan's biggest win over Williams in the series history, a 22-11 triumph in Middletown on Saturday. Giancola added two goals and one assist in a 26-5 win at Stockton last Monday to add to his weekly total of 12 points (8G, 4A) in two games.
Williams – Senior
Harrison Cross (Pittsford, N.Y.) recorded career highs of four goals, three assists, and seven points at No. 6 Wesleyan on Saturday.
