NESCAC Player of the Week
Reagan Pahl – Amherst – So. – G – Cedarburg, Wis.
Pahl scored a career-high 22 points in a win at Middlebury on Friday, then added 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds in a victory over Williams. Pahl averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and totaled six steals in a 2-0 week that extended the Mammoths' win streak to four games and helped them secure the No. 4 seed and a home quarterfinal game in the NESCAC Tournament.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Bates –
Alexandra Long's (Newtown, Pa.) senior weekend was a successful one as she led the Bobcats to wins over Connecticut College and Tufts. On Friday, Long tallied seven points on 3-or-6 shooting, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in a 68-54 win over the Camels. Long followed up with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting on Sunday against the Jumbos, matching her season-high with eight assists to go along with three rebounds and two more blocked shots. Long finished the regular season averaging 4.1 assists per game, tops in the NESCAC.
Bowdoin – Newcomer
Grace Kinum (New Providence, N.J.) came off the bench to average 13.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in a pair of double-digit wins last weekend as the Polar Bears became the first team since Tufts in the 2019-20 season to finish undefeated in NESCAC play (10-0). In her last five games – all against conference opponents – Kinum is averaging 11.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 steals.
Colby –
Amelia Hanscom (Andover, Mass.) reached career-highs in points (23), minutes (36), and field goals made (9) in Friday night's setback against Trinity. On Saturday, the sophomore reached double-digits in scoring again (13) as Colby closed out the regular season with a victory over Wesleyan to secure the No. 2 seed in the NESCAC Tournament. Hanscom totaled nine rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks in the two games.
Conn. College – Senior
Catie Donadio (Clinton, Conn.) finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, and four steals in the final game of her collegiate career last week at Bates. Over four seasons, she played in 83 games and amassed career totals of 486 points, 355 rebounds, 128 assists, 33 steals, and 22 blocks.
Hamilton – Sophomore
Abbey Schwoebel (Westport, N.Y.) tied a career-high with 10 points in a 66-54 setback at Williams. First-year
Annabelle Semeter (Westborough, Mass.) dropped in a season-high 14 points in a 77-72 loss at Middlebury, and sophomore
Kendall Harris (Chapel Hill, N.C.) chipped in 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the sophomore's fifth double-double this season.
Middlebury –
Alexa Mustafaj (Yonkers, N.Y.) averaged 31.0 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per contest in a 1-1 weekend for Middlebury. The Panther tallied 28 points and pulled down seven boards in a 77-72 win against Hamilton to secure the team's spot in the NESCAC Tournament. Mustafaj recorded her 14th game with 30 or more points on Friday, tallying 34 to lead all players in a setback versus Amherst. The senior is the only player in the conference averaging more than 20 points per game (23.5 ppg).
Trinity –
Olivia Vick (Chicago, Ill.) led the Bantams offense with a team-high 12.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week in conference play. The sophomore scored a team-high 21 points with four rebounds in a crucial 67-60 victory over Colby.
Williams –
Arianna Gerig (Westport, Conn.) averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game in a 1-1 NESCAC weekend for the Ephs.
The senior recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in a 66-54 triumph over Hamilton on Friday at Chandler Gymnasium. Gerig finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists while scoring 10 points from the free-throw line against visiting Amherst on Senior Day on Saturday.
