NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Elsi Aires – Tufts – Sr. – Forward – Westborough, Mass.
Aires netted three goals for six points last week. Aires tallied two markers in Tufts’ victory in the regular-season finale versus Bowdoin. The senior also scored the game-winning goal for the top-seeded Jumbos in a 2-1 win over Wesleyan, as her shot from the edge of the box in the 63rd minute was the difference. It was Aires' 10th goal of the season. The forward has posted double-digit goals in each of her last three seasons at Tufts. Aires has scored four game-winning goals this season, matching her mark from the previous two seasons.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Rookie
Emma Darling (Weston, Mass.) scored twice in the Mammoths' 3-0 win over Trinity on Tuesday, giving her a team-leading six goals this season.
Bates – In her final collegiate match,
Kylie Musante (Brentwood, Tenn.) scored her second career goal, and her first since her rookie season, to put the Bobcats ahead 1-0 against Colby in the regular-season finale. The senior defender wraps up her career having played in 45 matches, starting 38 for Bates.
Bowdoin – Senior netminder
Charlotte Iannone (East Williston, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the Polar Bears’ NESCAC Quarterfinal at Williams on Saturday.
Colby – Junior
Abigail Jarvi (Gilford, N.H.) scored Colby's second goal of the quarterfinal win in Saturday's rematch from the 2024 NESCAC title game, between the Mules and the Mammoths. In the regular-season finale earlier in the week, Jarvi tallied an assist to help Colby defeat Bates 4-2 and jump from the eighth seed to the fifth heading into the tournament. The quarterfinal victory over the Mammoths marked Colby's first win over Amherst since 1989 and back-to-back appearances in the NESCAC Semifinals for the second time in team history.
Conn. College – Rookie
Yael Bugaev (Westborough, Mass.) made the start in net and made three saves as Conn. College wrapped up the 2025 season at Wesleyan on Tuesday.
Middlebury – Senior
Livia Davidson (Tuxedo, N.Y.) began the week by tying her career-high with nine stops in the squad’s regular season finale against Williams. Davidson would then stonewall Hamilton in the NESCAC Quarterfinals with eight stops over 90 minutes to secure a 2-0 triumph and push the Panthers to the conference semifinals for the first time since 2021. The goalie paces the NESCAC with a 0.933 save percentage and 0.348 goals against average.
Williams –
Elizabeth Stophel (Chattanooga, Tenn.) led No. 12-ranked Williams to a 2-0 week and a spot in the NESCAC Semifinals. The sophomore scored the game-winning goal in the 59th minute in a 3-0 victory over seventh-seeded Bowdoin in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday. Stophel also assisted the game-winning tally in the 62nd minute in a 1-0 triumph against No. 10 Middlebury in the regular-season finale on Tuesday.
