Every Monday during the season, one NESCAC Player of the Week will be selected based on information submitted by the athletic communications offices at member institutions.
NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Aiden Londergan – Wesleyan - Jr. – Midfield – Barrington, Ill.
Londergan netted four of the Cardinals' five total goals scored in two wins last week, bringing his personal goal scoring streak to four straight games. Londergan opened with a hat trick in Wednesday's 4-1 win at home over Trinity. It was the first hat trick by a Cardinal since 2016. Londergan followed up with the lone goal in a 1-0 win at previously unbeaten Williams, clinching the 20th outright Little Three Championship in team history and the first since 2011.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Junior
Mohammed Nuhu (Accra, Ghana) scored in the 58th minute on Wednesday with what proved to be the game-winning goal of a 2-1 victory at Keene State. It was Nuhu's fifth goal of the season.
Bates – Sophomore
George Nassar (Newtonville, Mass.) leads a Bates defense that is allowing just 0.45 goals per match, the second fewest in the NESCAC this season.
Bowdoin - Senior
Tyler Huck (Ross, Calif.) led the Polar Bears to a pair of shutout wins. After setting up the lone goal with an assist in a 1-0 midweek win at USM, Huck scored twice in a 3-0 win over Trinity on Saturday. Huck has 23 points, twice as many as any other player in the conference this fall, with five of his league-best nine goals coming in NESCAC games this year.
Conn. College - Junior midfielder
Marco Perugini (Medway, Mass.) notched the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Hamilton in the lone game for the Camels last week.
Middlebury –
Gavin Randolph (Boston, Mass.) scored twice for the Panthers in a 4-0 triumph against Colby. In the 32nd minute, the senior found the back of the net for his first goal of the year, which proved to be the game-winner. Randolph added his second marker of the contest with 35:42 elapsed to build Middlebury’s lead to 3-0. The two goals marked his 14th career multi-point performance.
Tufts – In Tufts’ only game of the week,
Mateo Bargagna (Atlanta, Ga.) was crucial in the Jumbos’ 2-0 win over No. 15 Bates on Saturday. The senior drew the penalty kick which led to senior
Daniel Yanez’s (Short Hills, N.J.) game-winning penalty kick against the Bobcats. Bargagna was also being strong on the defensive end to help preserve a clean sheet.
Williams – Sophomore
Ben Brown (Scarsdale, N.Y.) recorded a goal and an assist as the top-ranked Ephs played to a 3-3 tie with Western Connecticut State on Sunday at Cole Field.
