NESCAC Player of the Week
Meghan Britt – Bowdoin – Fy. – F – Arlington, Mass.
Britt helped the Polar Bears post a 2-0 weekend to remain unbeaten (10-0-0). The rookie scored two goals and added two assists, accounting for nearly all of Bowdoin's goals in a 5-3 win over Suffolk on Friday. On Saturday, Britt capped a furious third-period rally by Bowdoin, assisting on the game-winning goal in a four-goal rally in a 4-2 comeback victory over UMass Boston. Britt is second on the team with 11 points this season.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Colby –
Lulu Gray (Cos Cob, Conn.) helped Colby open the new year with wins over Potsdam and Castleton to take Castleton’s Bagley Invitational title for the fourth consecutive year and landed on the all-tournament team. The newcomer assisted the game-winner in the 3-1 win against the Bears and tallied a goal and two assists in a 5-0 victory in the championship game against the host Spartans.
Conn. College - Junior goalie
Devon Galizio (Wayland, Mass.) opened the new year continuing her strong play in goal. In Conn's only game, Galizio turned aside 27 of 29 shots on Saturday afternoon against Wesleyan in a non-conference matchup.
Hamilton – Rookie
Gabby Martiniello (Salem, N.H.) recorded her first collegiate point with an assist in a 6-3 setback against Elmira. Junior
Grace Crowley (Wayland, Mass.) won 24-of-36 faceoffs (66.7%) in two games for the Continentals.
Middlebury -
Kylie Quinlan (Stoneham, Mass.) posted a goal and a pair of assists in a 2-0 weekend for Middlebury, helping the Panthers improve to 10-0-0. The senior’s third-period goal on Friday helped Middlebury edge Endciott 4-2 in a comeback triumph. Quinlan collected two assists in a 4-0 win over Nichols on Saturday.
Trinity –
Annika Dyczkowski (Milford, Mich.) logged a team-high two points in a 4-2 loss against Williams in non-conference action as the senior captain dished out an assist on both Bantam goals.
Wesleyan - Sophomore goaltender
Jenna Guglielmi (Branford, Conn.) made 43 saves on Saturday afternoon in a 2-0 win for the Cardinals at home against Conn. College. Guglielmi made 34 of those saves in the second and third periods combined for her first shutout of the season and the third of her career.
Williams –
Leah Rubinshteyn (Summit, N.J.) recorded two goals and one assist in a 4-2 win at No. 13 Trinity on Saturday. The junior blocked a shot, then went the length of the ice and scored an empty-net goal with 1:14 left, giving the Ephs a two-goal lead.
