NESCAC Co-Players of the Week
Jesse Delinsky - So. - A - Washington, D.C.
Delinsky scored four goals, including the overtime game-winner, and added an assist in the Continentals' 14-13 victory at Tufts in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. It was Hamilton's first win against the Jumbos since 2013 and its first in six NESCAC Championship appearances, allowing the Continentals to advance to the semifinals for the first time.
CK Giancola - Wesleyan - Sr. - M - Canton, Conn.
Giancola made history on Saturday, matching the team and NESCAC Tournament record with eight goals in an 18-10 quarterfinal victory over Trinity. The senior midfielder scored three goals in the first half and exploded for four scores in the third quarter, as the Cardinals came from down 9-8 at the half, outscoring the Bantams 10-1 in the second half to advance to the semifinal round. Giancola matched the Wesleyan single-game goal-scoring record, which had only been done twice before in program history before Saturday. In addition, Giancola tied the NESCAC Tournament record which has only occurred twice, with the most recent being in 2016. Giancola also posted five points (2G, 3As) on Wednesday in a 19-13 win over Conn. College in the regular season finale to give him 13 points (10 goals, 3 assists) in two games last week.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Sophomore
Brooks Catlin (Boulder, Colo.) had a 7.00 goals against average and a .674 save percentage in a 1-1 week for the Mammoths. Catlin made 16 saves in a 6-5 win over Trinity, including three in the final 60 seconds, and recorded 13 stops in a 9-6 loss to Middlebury in the NESCAC Quarterfinals.
Bates – Senior
Wil Masterson (York, Maine) tallied a hat trick in the final game of his Bates career, scoring three goals and dishing out an assist on Wednesday at Colby. Masterson also recorded three ground balls and caused a turnover against the Mules. Masterson finishes the season with 22 goals and 10 assists, good for 32 points, which ranks second on the team.
Bowdoin – Junior
Jason Lach (Washington, D.C.) scored four goals with an assist in the regular season finale against Tufts on Wednesday before scoring twice, with four ground balls, in a NESCAC Quarterfinal win over Williams on Saturday. Lach is second in the NESCAC with 49 goals this spring.
Colby –
Matt Suffredini (Winchester, Mass.) led the Mules to a 14-11 win over Bates in the annual Flahive-McDuffee-Sandler Memorial game. The senior, out due to injury since mid-March, returned for Colby's final game of the season and collected double-digit saves (10) to lead the Mules to their fourth straight win over the Bobcats.
Conn. College –
Aidan McAvoy (Charlotte, N.C.) paced the Camels with a career-high seven points in their NESCAC finale at Wesleyan. The junior recorded a hat trick in the opening quarter to keep Conn in striking distance and finished the day with four goals, three assists, four ground balls, and a caused turnover.
Middlebury –
Russell Thorndike (Brookline, Mass.) tallied seven goals in a 1-1 week for Middlebury. In a triple-overtime loss against Williams, Thorndike recorded a hat trick to tally his 100th career-goal, while scooping up three groundballs. In a 9-6 NESCAC Quarterfinal win over Amherst the junior scored four times. Thorndike tallied the opening goal of the game and gave Middlebury a two-goal difference (8-6) late in the fourth stanza to help the Panthers pull away and secure the victory. Thorndike leads Middlebury in points (53) and goals (40).
Trinity – Trinity goalie
Jordan Opdahl (Rockville, Md.) totaled 29 saves in a pair of NESCAC contests. Against Amherst, Opdahl faced 20 shots, successfully denying 14 of them in a 6-5 loss by the Mammoths. In the NESCAC Quarterfinals, the junior made 15 saves in an 18-10 battle against Wesleyan. Opdahl posted a .547 save percentage for the week.

Williams –
Matt Wetmore (Virginia Beach, Va.) made a combined 36 saves in two games for a .610 save percentage during a 1-1 week for the Ephs. Wetmore saved a career-high 22 shots against Bowdoin in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday in Brunswick, Maine. The junior made 14 saves in a 10-9 triple-overtime victory at Middlebury in the regular-season finale on Wednesday.
