NESCAC Player of the Week
Jordan Opdahl - Trinity - Jr. - G - Rockville, Md.
Opdahl led the Bantams to a pair of NESCAC wins last week with 34 saves, a .680 save percentage, and a 7.93 goals against average while collecting six ground balls. The junior goalie made 17 saves in a midweek overtime victory over Wesleyan, 10-9, helping Trinity hold one of the highest-scoring offenses in Division III well below their average. Opdahl also made 17 stops in an 11-7 win at Colby.

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst - In his first two games back after missing a month with an injury, Jake Bennett (Philadelphia, Pa.) had 13 points (4G, 9A) with five ground balls in a 2-0 week for the Mammoths. In a 14-8 win over Conn. College, the senior notched three goals and assisted on four others. In an 18-9 win over Bates, Bennett scored once and assisted on six other goals. In each game, Bennett assisted on the game-winning goal.

Bates – Will Masterson (York, Maine) recorded a season-high six points against Tufts on Wednesday, scoring four goals and dishing out two assists. The senior also notched a season-high eight ground balls. Masterson followed that up with a pair of goals and three ground balls Saturday at Amherst.

Bowdoin – Bowdoin goaltender Robert Hobbs (Wayne, Pa.) posted a dominant week for the Polar Bears, who went 2-0 to improve to 7-0 in NESCAC play this spring. Hobbs allowed just three goals and made nine saves in a midweek win over Colby before posting a season-high 20 saves, allowing just six goals, in a 14-6 win over Williams on Saturday. For the week, Hobbs recorded a 4.80 goals against average and a 76.3 save percentage. 

Colby – Cormac O'Neill (Minnetonka, Minn.) scored two goals and tallied two assists in a setback against Trinity.  The sophomore’s first score brought the Mules within one entering the half.  O'Neill's two assists bookended Colby's scoring, as he tallied helpers on the first and last goals of the day.  

Conn. College – Lorenzo Vogliano (New York, N.Y.) posted a team-high seven goals and two assists last week as the Camels split games against Amherst and Nichols. The sophomore finished with two goals and an assist in a 14-8 setback against the Mammoths, and in a 15-9 victory over the Bison, Vogliano recorded six points on a career-high five goals and one assist.

Hamilton – Junior Jack Fried (Larchmont, N.Y.) made 16 saves in a 12-9 setback at Williams and added 15 stops in a 17-7 loss against Wesleyan. Fried added four ground balls in the two games.

Middlebury – Junior Russell Thorndike (Brookline, Mass.) played a pivotal role in helping Middlebury earn a 13-7 victory over St. Lawrence on Tuesday. The Panther tied his career-high with six points during the win, leading all players with four goals to go along with a pair of helpers. Thorndike leads Middlebury with 30 tallies this year and is second on the team with 41 points.

Tufts – In a pair of NESCAC wins, sophomore Jack Regnery (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) totaled 13 points on 10 goals and three assists in wins over Bates and Middlebury. The attack also posted five ground balls and two caused turnovers for the Jumbos. Regnery scored four goals and added two assists in a midweek 20-11 win over Bates, then finished with six goals and an assist, picking up three grounders and causing a turnover at Middlebury. Regnery leads the conference in goals (47) and points (72).

Wesleyan – Sophomore Conor Selfridge (Elmhurst, Ill.) made 12 saves in both games last week, running his streak to four straight games with 12 saves. In a 17-7 win at Hamilton, Selfridge made 12 stops with just six goals allowed, as his .667 save percentage in that contest set a new career-high for the sophomore.

Williams – Calvin Caputo (Pennington, N.J.) totaled five goals, five assists, and 10 points in a 1-1 week for the Ephs. The senior tallied a career-high five assists, to go along with one goal, in a 12-9 win over visiting Hamilton on Wednesday. Caputo scored four goals at Bowdoin on Saturday.
