NESCAC Player of the Week
Pearse Glavin - Williams - Sr. - A - Newtown Square, Pa.
Glavin totaled seven goals and six assists for 13 points in a 2-0 week for the Ephs. Glavin finished with career-highs of six assists and nine points, to go along with three goals, in a 24-8 victory over visiting Connecticut College on Saturday. The senior added four goals in an upset win, 18-12, at Christopher Newport earlier in the week.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Junior
Alex Giacobbe (Manhasset, N.Y.) scored a career-high six goals in the Mammoths' only game of the week, a 15-13 loss to Lynchburg. Giacobbe added one assist for a seven-point game, having a hand in more than half of the Mammoths' tallies on the day, including three straight goals in the fourth quarter to fuel the Mammoths' comeback attempt.
Bates –
Gray Doyle (Summit, N.J.) paced the Bobcats with three goals and two assists on Saturday against Trinity. The rookie also recorded a ground ball and caused a turnover. Doyle has tallied 15 goals and 14 assists this season, giving him 29 points, which is tied for 12th in the NESCAC.
Bowdoin – Junior goaltender
Robert Hobbs (Wayne, Pa.) made 16 saves, one shy of his season high, in a 15-8 win at Hamilton on Saturday.
Colby –
Gavin Rothenberg (Westport, Conn.) scored nine goals last week across a pair of games. The first year tallied five goals and two assists against Tufts setting new career marks for goals, assists, and points. Colby's 13 goals against the Jumbos were the highest in the matchup since 2006.
Conn. College –
Liam Horkan (Malden, Mass.) netted a team-high seven goals last week as the Camels went 1-1 overall. The sophomore tied a career-high with six goals in a 14-8 victory over Western Connecticut State, marking his fourth-straight game with at least three goals. Horkan also added a score in league action at Williams over the weekend in a 24-8 setback.
Hamilton -
Thomas Healy (Pittsburgh, Pa.) posted nine points in a 1-1 week for the Continentals. Healy tied a career-high with seven points on four goals and three assists and scooped up a ground ball in a 17-11 win against MIT. The sophomore scored two goals and picked up a ground ball in a 15-8 setback against Bowdoin.
Middlebury – Sophomore
Logan White (Parker, Colo.) tallied a career-high six goals, all in the second quarter, in Middlebury’s 23-15 win over Springfield. The Panther paced the team with 10 points over the 2-0 week, including four assists during a 15-8 victory at Wesleyan on Saturday to hand the Cardinals their first NESCAC loss of the season.
Trinity –
Bo Page (Wayne, Pa.) had a six-goal week, with a career-high of four goals in a 13-8 win against Bates. The first year posted totals of six goals and four assists for 10 points and added seven ground balls in a 2-0 week for the Bantams.
Tufts -
Jack Regnery (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) finished a 2-0 week for the Jumbos with 17 points (10G, 7A) in wins over Union and Colby. Regnery posted a career-high nine points (6G, 3A) against Union on Tuesday. The sophomore attack scored four goals and handed out a career-high four assists in Saturday's 17-13 win over Colby.
Wesleyan – Senior
DJ Dixon (Troy, Mich.) led the Cardinals with four goals and one assist for a five-point game against Middlebury on Saturday.
