Sydney Jones – Bowdoin – Jr. – G – Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Jones
scored a game-high 25 points, including 11 in the opening period as the Polar Bears built a 17-point first-quarter lead, en route to a 78-60 win over Tufts in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday. Jones posted a double-double, adding 10 boards, five assists, and no turnovers while shooting 66 percent (10-for-15) from the field. Additionally, with a 3-pointer three minutes into the contest, Jones became the 20th player in Bowdoin women's basketball history to surpass 1,000 career points.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst –
Maya Cwalina (Middle Village, N.Y.) scored a team-high 16 points while grabbing six rebounds, blocking three shots, and coming up with two steals in a NESCAC Quarterfinal loss to Middlebury. The junior shot 6-of-9 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line.
Bates –
Elsa Daulerio (Harpswell, Maine) tallied 16 points, a game-high nine rebounds, two assists, a game-high four blocks, and three steals in a 66-50 win over Hamilton in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday for the Bobcats. The sophomore ranks second in the NESCAC with 2.1 blocked shots per game, and the Bobcats (21-4) are averaging six blocks per game as a team, eighth-most in NCAA Division III this season.
Bowdoin – Junior

Colby – First-year
Kate Olenik (Medfield, Mass.) completed her first season as a Mule ranked fifth in the NESCAC with 15.3 ppg. The guard scored in double-digits in all but two games and led Colby in scoring, assists, and steals.
Hamilton – Rookie
Kendall Harris (Chapel Hill, N.C.) scored a team-high 17 points and tied a season-best with three blocked shots in a 66-50 setback at Bates in a NESCAC Quarterfinal. Harris added five rebounds and three steals.
Middlebury – Junior
Alexa Mustafaj (Yonkers, N.Y.) became Middlebury’s all-time leading scorer on Saturday, helping the Panthers top Amherst, 59-48, in NESCAC Quarterfinal action. With 18 points, the junior has 1,606 for her career, surpassing previous record-holder and Hall of Famer Sladja Kovijanic’s mark of 1,602 set over three decades ago (1993). Mustafaj also moved into third place in single-season points, totaling 567 this winter.
Trinity –
Avery Marzo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) led Trinity with a career-high 12 points in a NESCAC Quarterfinal victory over visiting Colby, 51-35. The rookie added five rebounds and handed out one assist. Marzo shot 54 percent from the field for the game.
