Lopez Named USTFCCCA Mideast Region Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. - For the second consecutive season Dusty Lopez, the head coach of the Williams Women's Cross Country program, was selected as the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Coach of the Year. Lopez's honor marks the 16th time since 1993 a NESCAC head coach has been named a USTFCCCA regional coach of the year.

Lopez, in his second year as head coach at Williams, led the Ephs to the team title at the Mideast Region Championships with 59 points. Earlier in the season, Williams won its fifth straight NESCAC Championship and 21st title overall with 35 points. The Ephs also claimed team titles at the Connecticut College Invitational White Division with 30 points, James Earley Invitational with 44 points, Keene State Invitational with 19 points and Purple Valley Invite with 29 points.

At the NCAA Championships, Williams finished third for the team's first podium appearance since 2019. Three Ephs earned All-America honors.
