NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Peter Silvester – Conn. College – GK – Sr. – Smiths Parish, Bermuda
Silvester continued his strong season, recording 14 saves across two games last week. On Tuesday in the regular season finale, Silvester made four saves against Wesleyan. On Saturday at Amherst, Silvester tallied a career-high 10 saves during regulation and extra time, as the teams played to a 1-1 tie. In the penalty kick shootout, Silvester made two stops, to help the Camels advance to their fourth straight semifinal appearance.

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
AmherstMichael Cherico (Mountain Valley, Calif.) scored twice last week in a 1-0-1 week for the Mammoths. The rookie scored one goal in a 3-0 win over Trinity, then scored the tying goal in the 71st minute of a NESCA Quarterfinal versus Conn. College. The Camels were able to advance past the Mammoths in penalty kicks, 4-2. 

Bates – Junior Tomas Alberola (Denver, Colo.) scored his first collegiate goal and dished out an assist in the Bates’ 3-3 draw with Colby to conclude the Bobcats' season last Tuesday. 
 
Bowdoin - Junior goaltender Alex Ainsworth (Winnetka, Ill.) made six saves in regulation and overtime, allowing just a single goal, and then saved two penalty kick attempts against Tufts, to propel the Polar Bears to a shootout victory over the Jumbos, and earn Bowdoin’s first trip to the NESCAC semifinals since 2017.
 
Colby – Senior Mario Simoes (Belem, Brazil) capped his senior season with two goals in a draw against Bates.  The striker finished the campaign as the leading goal scorer in the NESCAC, connecting for 11 goals in 15 games, eight of which came in conference contests.  
 
HamiltonLuke Peplowski (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored both goals for the Continentals in their 4-2 setback at Middlebury in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. The multi-goal match was the second of Peplowski's Hamilton career. The senior finished with 20 goals and 16 assists for 56 points in 60 matches.
 
Middlebury – Junior Joey Waterman (North Andover, Mass.) helped Middlebury capture its second straight unbeaten (12-0-3) regular season for the first time since the 1970s last week. The Panther made a career-high nine saves in the finale against Williams en route to posting his ninth shutout of the year with the 2-0 win. With the triumph, Waterman assisted Middlebury in securing the No. 2 seed of the NESCAC Tournament. In quarterfinal action, the goalie made three stops to bring his single-season total to 49.
 
Tufts – Graduate student Mikey Brady (Washington, D.C.) scored the game-tying goal in the Jumbos’ 1-1 draw with Bowdoin in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday. Brady scored by firing a shot that bounced off the opposing goalkeeper’s hands and fell in the back of the net. After two scoreless extra time periods, the Jumbos fell in penalty kicks, 4-3.
 
Wesleyan Yousuf Saeed (Houston, Texas) scored in both games last week for Wesleyan. The sophomore was one of three Cardinal goal scorers in a 3-1 road win over Conn. College on Tuesday before scoring in a 2-1 double-overtime loss at Williams in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday. 
 
Williams – Sophomore Andrew Coelho (Gloucester, Mass.) netted the golden goal in the second overtime period off a free kick in a 2-1 victory over Wesleyan in a NESCAC Quarterfinal match on Saturday.
