NESCAC Player of the Week
Sarah Hughes – Bates – So. – G – Rumson, N.J.
Hughes averaged 22.0 points per game while shooting 65.2 percent from the floor, including a 6-for-8 from 3-point range, and chipped in 5.0 rebounds per contest in two wins for the Bobcats to open the season. The sophomore dropped a career-high 25 points on 8-for-12 shooting in Friday's 77-54 win over Husson. Hughes followed up with a team-high 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting in a 73-67 win over Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday.  
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – 
Maya Cwalins (Middle Village, N.Y.) scored 15 points with five rebounds in a 51-40 win over Oswego State in the Lakers' Ziel Tournament Championship Game and was named tournament MVP. The senior shot 7-for-11 from the floor. In a 51-42 win over SUNY-Geneseo, Cwalins contributed nine rebounds and three blocks.
Bowdoin – Senior 
Sydney Jones (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) scored a game-high 22 points in 23 minutes as the Polar Bears dominated Skidmore, 74-44, in a season-opening win Saturday. Jones went 8-for-16 from the field, 6-for-7 from the free-throw line and pitched in three assists, five rebounds, and five steals in the victory. 
Colby – 
Ana Von Rumohr (Lexington, Mass.) led the Mules to two victories in the opening Gene DeLorenzo Tip-Off Tournament averaging 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds. The sophomore was one board shy of her first career double-double in the opener with 12 points and nine rebounds.  In Sunday's final Von Rumohr's 20 points marked a new career-high.  
Conn. College – 
Mia Xerras (Charlotte, N.C.) averaged a team-high 14.5 points per game on 79.0 percent shooting to lead the Camels to a 2-0 start to the season. The sophomore netted a game-high 19 points – all in the first half – and shot 7-for-8 from the floor in a 95-47 win over Mitchell in the season opener. Xerras added 10 points and three assists in a 68-41 victory against Hartford, and combined to shoot 7-for-10 from beyond the arc in the two wins.
Hamilton – 
Zoe Myslewicz (McLean, Va.) was named to the Oneonta & Hartwick Classic All-Tournament Team after the Continentals won both games. Myslewicz averaged 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds and shot 55.6 percent (10-for-18) from the field. The first-year recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards, including 10 on the offensive glass, and added two steals and a blocked shot in a 73-50 win at Hartwick. Myslewicz chipped in eight points and six rebounds in 11 minutes of a 59-57 victory against SUNY Oneonta. Myslewicz's offensive rebound and putback with 18 seconds left gave Hamilton a 58-55 lead.
Middlebury – Senior 
Augusta Dixon (Charleston, S.C.) averaged 9.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game per game in a 1-1 opening weekend for Middlebury. The Panther nearly tallied a double-double in both contests, tallying a weekend-high 13 rebounds in Saturday’s 76-45 triumph against Millikin. Dixon recorded her 16th career double-double on Sunday with 11 points and 10 boards versus UChicago.
Trinity – Sophomore 
Olvia Vick (Chicago, Ill.) helped propel the Bantams to a pair of non-conference victories to open the 2024-25 season, averaging 15.5 points while shooting 57.1 percent (12-for-21) from the field, including 55.6 percent (5-for-9) from 3-point range. In a season-opening 76-59 win over Eastern Connecticut, Vick netted a game-high 17 points, shooting 7-of-12 from the floor, with a career-high four assists. Vick added 13 points behind a trio of 3-pointers as Trinity defeated Springfield College, 75-62.
Tufts – 
Sarah Crossett (Naperville, Ill.) helped the Jumbos to a 67-61 win in the season opener against Brandeis. The junior netted 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting and made all six of her free throws. Crossett added five rebounds and two steals as well in the victory. 
Wesleyan – Sophomore 
Alli Jones (Wellesley, Mass.) was selected to the  St. Mary’s College Jamie L. Roberts Memorial All-Tournament Team after averaging 16.0 points on 50.0 percent shooting (85.7 percent at the free throw line) while adding 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals in 31.5 minutes per game. Jones posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to No. 16 Catholic on Friday and followed up career-highs in points (22), assists (6), blocks (3), and minutes (34) as she led the Cardinals to an 88-78 win over host St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday. Jones shot 8-for-13 (6-for-6 FTs) with seven rebounds and two steals against the Seahawks. 
Williams – 
Arianna Gerig (Westport, Conn.) averaged 15.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in a 2-0 opening weekend for the Ephs. The senior shot 11-for-21 from the field (52.4%) and 9-of-10 from the foul line (90.0%). Gerig also totaled five blocks, five assists, and two steals. Gerig scored a team-high 19 points, shooting 8-for-13 from the field, to go along with five rebounds, three blocks, and three assists, in an 80-55 season-opening victory over visiting Keene State. Gerig followed up with 12 points and nine boards, shooting 6-of-6 from the free-throw line, along with two blocks, two steals, and two assists, in a 55-49 win over TCNJ Morin Memorial Tournament Championship Game.
