NESCAC Player of the Week
Meg Rittenhouse – Colby – Sr. – F – Tampa, Fla.
Rittenhouse led Colby to a sweep of Williams, netting the game-winner in both wins (4-2 and 3-2 OT). On Friday, the senior tallied Colby's second and third goals on the night and added an assist on the fourth. In Saturday's game, Rittenhouse assisted in the opening score and tallied her conference-leading 12th goal of the season only seconds into overtime to complete the sweep of the Ephs. With a goal and assist in a midweek win at Suffolk, Rittenhouse finished the week with four goals and three assists for seven points. The senior leads the NESCAC in points (21), goals (12), and game-winning tallies (5) through 15 games.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Senior
Rylee Glennon (Burlington, Mass.) had a point in each Mammoth game last week, registering three assists in a 2-1-0 week for the Mammoths.
Conn. College - Goaltender
Devon Galizio (Wayland, Mass.) helped Conn earn a weekend split against Trinity. On Friday, Galizio held the Bantams to one goal, finishing with 18 saves, as the Camels came up short 1-0. On Saturday, the sophomore collected her third shutout of the year, stopping all 23 shots she faced, as Conn came away with a 3-0 win. For the weekend, Galizio made 41 saves on 42 shots, to finish with a .976 save percentage and a 0.51 goals against average.
Hamilton – Junior
Abby Weiss (Lexington, Mass.) scored two goals and won 6-of-8 faceoffs in a 3-1 win at SUNY Oswego in the only game last week for the Continentals. It was the first multi-goal game of Weiss' Hamilton career.
Middlebury –
Avery McInerny (Westford, Mass.) had a hand in four of Middlebury’s five goals over the weekend, helping lead the squad to a sweep over Bowdoin. On Friday night, McInerny gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead just before the end of the first period, earned an assist on the second marker, and netted a third-period power-play goal to help secure a 3-1 win. The sophomore dished out the helper on the game-winner in Saturday’s 2-1 win. McInerny leads Middlebury with 11 points (4G, 7A).
Wesleyan –
Brigitte Goeler-Slough (Northampton, Mass.) played a key role for the Cardinals who earned the biggest win in program history, with a 2-1 triumph at Amherst on Sunday. Goeler-Slough assisted the game-winning goal with 3:37 remaining in the third period and blocked a career-high seven shots as Wesleyan earned the first-ever win over a ranked opponent on the road and beat the Mammoths for the first time in Orr Rink since 2000. The graduate student also had a two-assist game on Tuesday as the Cardinals defeated Plymouth State 3-0 at home, giving her three points and nine blocked shots over the week.
Williams –
Jaelyn Keiver (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) totaled three goals and two assists in a 1-2 week for the Ephs. The sophomore finished with two goals and one assist, to go along with the game-winning tally, in a 7-0 win over visiting MCLA on Tuesday. Keiver registered one goal and one assist, including the goal that forced overtime with 4:28 left in the third period, in a 3-2 setback at Colby on Saturday.
