NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Molly Brumbach – Wesleyan – So. – GK – Montclair, N.J.
Brumbach led Wesleyan to a 0-0 draw at Middlebury on Saturday. In a game where the Panthers outshot the Cardinals 25-8, Brumbach saved all 14 of Middlebury's shots on target to record her first shutout of the season and the second of her career. The 14 saves for Brumbach represent her first career double-digit save performance and are the most by a Cardinal goalkeeper since 2015.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Bates –
Ruby Reimann (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) made a career-high eight saves in nine chances between the pipes Saturday at Trinity. The junior followed up with a solid 45 minutes against Southern Maine, where Reimann did not allow a goal and made one save in a 0-0 draw for Bates.
Bowdoin - Senior
Greta Farkas (Chevy Chase, Md.) scored a goal and added an assist as the Polar Bears picked up a non-conference win over Babson on Sunday.
Colby – Sophomore
MK Marshall (Pomfret, Conn.) tallied eight saves in net, including nine shots, four corners, two free kicks, and a one-on-one save with less than a minute to go in the second half, to guide the Mules to a 1-1 draw with Tufts on Saturday.
Conn. College - Goalkeeper
Sarah Hall (Tualatin, Ore.) was strong between the sticks in a 1-0 setback to Hamilton in the lone game of the week for the Camels. The senior played all 90 minutes and made five saves on six shots.
Hamilton – Erin Rayhill (New Hartford, N.Y.) scored the lone goal in the Continentals' 1-0 win against Connecticut College in their only match of the week. It's the fourth goal this season and the 10th of Rayhill's career at Hamilton. The junior has two game-winning tallies this season.
Trinity – In a 2-0-0 week,
Mariana Cournoyer (St. Paul, Minn.) notched a pair of shutouts in goal for the Bantams. Cournoyer posted five saves in a 1-0 victory over Coast Guard and tallied three saves in a 1-0 conference victory over Bates for her fifth clean sheet of the season.
Tufts – Against Husson,
Emily Nicholas (Avon, Conn.) scored both goals in a 2-2 tie on the road. The rookie has recorded a point in three of the last four contests for the Jumbos.
Williams –
Ava Simunovic (Bedford, N.H.) scored the game-winning goal in the 50th minute in a 1-0 win at Amherst on Saturday. The junior was a crucial presence on defense, as the Ephs posted a pair of shutouts last week, adding a 0-0 draw at Clark on Sunday.
