NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Jordan Saint-Louis - Middlebury – Sr. – F – Potomac, Md.
Saint-Louis had a hand in both Middlebury goals as the Panthers topped Wesleyan, 2-0, in the only game of the week. The senior tallied the game-winning goal and added an assist to help Middlebury extend its unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2). The senior sits atop the NESCAC leaderboard in points (17), goals (6), assists (5), and game-winning markers (3). Saint-Louis has factored into six of Middlebury’s eight game-winning or game-tying tallies this season, including four straight dating back to September 19.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Junior
Ignacio Cubeddu (Davie, Fla.) scored the first goal in a 2-1 win over Williams in a 1-1-0 week for the Mammoths.
Bates – Sophomore
Mauro Kalaora (Istanbul, Turkey) scored his first collegiate goal on Saturday at Trinity, giving the Bobcats a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute of action. He finished the match with a team-high three shots and two shots on goal.
Bowdoin – Eight different Polar Bears scored as Bowdoin cruised past Thomas in a non-conference win last week. The Polar Bears are undefeated after nine games (6-0-3) for the first time in program history.
Colby - Sophomore
Eduardo Casanova (Barcelona, Spain) scored in the 73rd minute Saturday against the Jumbos to bring the Mules to within one. He also assisted Colby's first score in the opening minutes of the second half. Casanova has three goals and seven points in the last two NESCAC matches.
Conn. College - Connecticut College improved to 6-0-2 overall and 2-0-2 in the NESCAC with a pair of wins last week. On Tuesday, forward
Jake Creus (Rye, N.Y.) scored twice in a 5-0 win over Western New England. The Camels scored all five goals in the final 20 minutes of the contest. The senior tallied the winning goal in the 71st minute before netting a second marker just 22 seconds later, to put Conn. up 2-0.
Hamilton –
Luke Ehrenfreund (Brooklyn, N.Y.) registered a hat trick in a 4-0 win at Utica. Ehrenfreund leads the Continentals with four markers this season. The sophomore has seven career goals. The last time a Hamilton player scored three times in a match was Sept. 8, 2021.
Trinity – Junior
Nick Bellak (Amherst, Mass.) paced the Bantams' offense in a 1-1-0 week with a trio of goals. Bellak potted Trinity’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Western Connecticut State and netted both Bantam goals in a 2-1 conference win over Bates.
Tufts –
Ethan Fiegin (Bethesda, Md.) helped Tufts to a 3-2 win as he totaled a pair of points on a goal and assist. The junior’s marker was his fourth of the season while registering his third helper in 2023.
Wesleyan – Sophomore
Josh Nadison (Montclair, N.J.) started both games in net for the Cardinals, the first two starts of his career at Wesleyan, and he performed well in the new role. He opened with a three-save shutout in his first career start in a 0-0 draw at Tufts on Wednesday. Nadison followed with five saves on Saturday in a 2-0 defeat at Middlebury.
Williams – Rookie
Griffin Labonski (Westport, Conn.) netted his first collegiate goal in the 88th minute in a 2-1 setback at Amherst on Saturday.
