NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Patience Kum – Amherst – Jr. – F – Takoradi, Ghana
Kum scored five goals in a 2-0-0 week for the Mammoths. Kum struck twice in a 4-1 win over Tufts on Sunday. Kum scored gave Amherst a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute and broke a 1-1 tie to push the Mammoths in front for good with her second marker in the 58th minute. The junior added a hat trick in a victory over Lasell and leads the NESCAC with six goals in five games this season.

Bates -
Izzy Lussier (West Suffield, Conn.) kept the pressure on Williams Sunday at Garcelon Field, recording a team-high three shots, including one shot on goal. The Bobcats were even with Williams in shots with 13 apiece, and Bates tallied four shots on goal to the Ephs' three.
Bowdoin -
Morgan Smiley (Charlotte, N.C.) scored the game's only goal, late in the first half, to lift Bowdoin to a 1-0 win over Connecticut College on Friday evening. The tally was the first of the season for the senior, who was second on the team in scoring last year.
Colby -
Pepper Joseph (Hanover, N.H.) tallied her second goal of the season Tuesday against the University of Southern Maine. Joseph has both of Colby's tallies on the season after entering her senior year searching for her first collegiate goal.
Conn. College - Senior forward
Jamie Scarpantonio (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the Camels to a 1-1-0 week, recording two assists along the way. Against Coast Guard on Wednesday night, Scarpantonio assisted on the first two goals of the contest, as the Camels picked up their 12th consecutive victory over their cross-town rival.
Middlebury – For the second week in a row,
Joely Virzi (Cincinnati, Ohio) tallied the tying goal in a NESCAC contest, this time against Hamilton. The senior leads the team with nine points (3G, 3A).
Hamilton -
Erin Rayhill (New Hartford, N.Y.) had three points in two wins for the Continentals. The junior scored Hamilton's first goal in a 2-1 triumph against Middlebury and assisted on the second goal in a 2-0 victory at Oswego State. Rayhill, who has recorded a point in three straight matches, has seven goals and six assists for 20 career points.
Trinity –
Mariana Cournoyer (St. Paul, Minn.) registered a pair of shutouts in a 2-0-0 week for the Bantams. Cournoyer tallied a season-high seven saves in a 1-0 conference win over Colby. The senior collected her third clean sheet of the season in a 1-0 non-conference victory over Wellesley College.
Wesleyan -
Waverly Meyers (Stamford, Conn.) scored in both Cardinal victories last week, giving the midfielder a goal in four straight games to open the season. The sophomore started with one tally in a 3-1 road win over Tufts on Tuesday and followed with a header off a corner in a 3-1 win at Mount Saint Vincent. Wesleyan is 4-0-0 to start the season and has played all four games away from home.
Williams –
Ansley Burns (Scottsdale, Ariz.) finished with two assists in a 2-0-0 week for the Ephs. The sophomore had the assist on the game-winning goal in the 35th minute in a 3-0 triumph over visiting Springfield on Wednesday. Burns assisted on an insurance goal in the 43rd minute in a 2-0 victory at Bates on Sunday.
