Felipe Rueda Duran - Bowdoin - So. - Forward - Beaverton, Ore.

Rueda Duran erupted for five goals and four assists in a 3-0 opening week for the Polar Bears. After scoring the most goals in a game (4) by a Polar Bear since 1989 against the Univ. of New England in the season-opener, Rueda Duran delivered the assist on the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Bates. To cap the week, the sophomore scored another goal and added two more assists in a victory over Husson.

Amherst
Ada Okorogheye (London, England) had one goal and one assist in a 1-0-1 week for the Mammoths. The senior scored the game-winning goal in a 5-1 win at Yeshiva in the season opener and assisted on the Mammoths' only goal in a 1-1 tie with Middlebury in the conference opener.

Bates - First-year Trevor Hammond (Canton, Mich.) made 10 saves in his collegiate debut at Emerson and followed up with five saves at Bowdoin. Hammond has a save percentage of .882 through two matches and is tied for first in the NESCAC with 7.50 saves per game.

Colby - Junior Brendan McCarthy (Northborough, Mass.) led Colby to two shutouts to open the 2023 season, blanking Thomas, 4-0, and a scoreless draw versus Wesleyan. All of McCarthy's saves against the Cardinals came in the second half as Wesleyan pressed for eight shots in the final frame. The goalkeeper has already tied last year's mark of two shutouts. 

Connecticut College - Defender Sam Boehm (Lexington, Mass.) led Connecticut College to a 1-0-1 mark to start the 2023 campaign. In the season opener against Hartford, Boehm recorded one goal in a 6-0 victory. In the NESCAC opener against Tufts, Boehm provided late heroics as the Camels battled back to earn a 1-1 draw against the Jumbos. The senior provided the equalizer with just over 10 minutes to play in the contest.

Hamilton - Senior Kai Haesslein (Rye, N.Y.) posted a shutout in the senior's first NESCAC start against Trinity. Haesslein tied a career-high with six saves as the Continentals and the Bantams played to a scoreless tie.

Middlebury - Coming off the bench in the second half, Harper Nicholl (Brooklyn, N.Y.) notched the first-year’s first career goal in the 66th minute to level the score at 1-1 in Middlebury’s draw against Amherst.

Trinity - Sophomore Kiernan McCabe’s (Natick, Mass.) game-winning goal in the 86th minute secured Trinity’s first win of the season, a 1-0 victory over Framingham State in the season-opener. The brace was McCabe’s second of his career. The Bantams also played to a scoreless tie versus Hamilton in the NESCAC opener.

TuftsEthan Feigin (Bethesda, Md.) helped the Jumbos post a 2-0-1 record to get the 2023 season underway. Feigin tallied a point in all three games. The junior scored the eventual game-winning goal in a 4-1 win over MIT. Feigin assisted on the only goal against Connecticut College in a 1-1 tie and the midfielder netted his second goal of the season against Maine-Farmington. 

WesleyanMathis Blanc (Palo Alto, Calif.) opened the season with consecutive shutouts for the Cardinals who beat NYU, 1-0, at home and posted a 0-0 result at Colby in a NESCAC tilt. The sophomore made four saves in the win over the Violets and one save in the tie against the Mules. The clean sheets are the first two shutouts of Blanc's collegiate career. 

Williams - Senior captain and defender Eamon Gara Grady (Manchester, Conn.) anchored the Ephs’ defensive unit in a 2-0 week, as Williams did not allow a single goal. The Ephs defeated visiting Wheaton, 1-0, in the season opener and followed up with a 2-0 triumph over Western New England. Williams started the season, 2-0, for the first time since 2017.
