HADLEY, Mass. – The NESCAC is pleased to announce a partnership with Andrew Plumley, CEO and Founder of Know Better Do Better Consulting, to provide guidance to the conference and its member institutions in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Through this partnership, Plumley will work with various constituent groups and member institutions to support and complement work already being done on campuses. He will also lend his expertise to help develop long-term structures and short-term programmatic solutions to meet a broad spectrum of needs at the institutional and conference level.
Plumley is a 2011 graduate of Middlebury College and was a two-sport athlete competing in basketball and football for the Panthers. Plumley is the Senior Director of Equity and Inclusion for the American Alliance of Museums where he oversees the internal DEAI work, as well as the Ford, Walton, and Mellon Foundation-funded Facing Change Initiative – Advancing Museum Board Diversity and Inclusion.
Plumley began his career advising higher education institutions on diversity and inclusion strategies. A systems entrepreneur, he focuses on creating lasting change for the communities he partners with. Plumley currently serves as a Young Black and Giving Back Institute Board Chair, Board Secretary at Equity in the Center, an Adventure Theatre trustee, and an American Express N-Gen Fellow.
Know Better Do Better Consulting has supported organizations in creating more diverse and inclusive teams and workplace cultures and provides specific DEI-related training and programmatic work to help produce more equitable outcomes for all.
