WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College men's soccer team (12-2-2 overall) earned its fourth consecutive NESCAC Championship today after posting a 1-0 victory over Middlebury (12-3-2 overall). Sophomore Dana Leary headed home the lone tally of the afternoon 13 minutes into the second half off a blind assist from senior Sky Riggs following a corner kick from first-year Ryan Pelletier.

In the 59th minute of play, first-year defenseman Pelletier sent a short corner kick toward the Middlebury goal. The ball nicked off a couple players and then came to Riggs, who, with his back to the goal, sent a no-look flick over his head, in front of the Panther goal for the charging Leary who pushed it home at the 58:03 mark.

With the win, Williams has earned an automatic berth in the Div. III NCAA Tournament. When and where Williams will play its tournament opener will be determined in the coming days.
