Meet Julia Booth - Hamilton Field Hockey

Hamilton field hockey goalkeeper Julia Booth who graduated with a degree in environmental studies was a four-year starter and team captain her senior year. She was named to the 2018 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad and played in the Division III Senior Game.
In 2016 she was selected to the NFHCA All-America Third Team and was voted the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year. She helped the Continentals post 40 wins and make three postseason appearances in four years. Hamilton ranked in the Division III Top 20 Coaches Poll at the end of the 2016, 2017, and 2018 seasons.
Booth was an All-NESCAC First Team and First Team All-Region honoree in 2016 and 2017. She ranked second among the program's all-time leaders with eight career shutouts and landed in fifth place with 387 career saves. She posted a shutout against Amherst to help lead Hamilton to its first NESCAC Championship victory in 2016 in the quarterfinals. She finished her career with a 37-22 mark in goal with a save percentage of .771 and 1.99 goals against average in 59 career games. Booth received a COOP Service Prize on Class and Charter Day in May.
