COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Bowdoin junior Hannah Balmelli has been named the NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week.

Balmelli, who was named the NESCAC Player of the Week on Monday, scored the game-winning goal on consecutive days as the Polar Bears defeated a pair of top-10 opponents in one-goal victories last weekend at Ryan Field. On Saturday, Balmelli scored with 3:46 remaining to break a 1-1 tie and lift the Polar Bears to a 2-1 win over then-No. 10 Wesleyan. On Sunday, Balmelli scored the game's only goal early in the second half of a 1-0 victory against then-No. 5 Williams.

Balmelli ranks second on the Polar Bears in scoring with seven points on three goals and an assist. Bowdoin owns a record of 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the NESCAC heading into a matchup on Saturday, September 26 versus Middlebury.
