NESCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
Oliver King – Bowdoin – So. – GK – Hyattsville, Md.
King led the Polar Bears with three shutout wins last week, including clean-sheet victories against top-ranked Wesleyan and No. 11 Williams on consecutive days. King posted seven saves against the Cardinals on Saturday before recording nine stops against Williams on Sunday, both 1-0 Polar Bear wins. King and the Bowdoin defense have not allowed a goal in the last 315:31 minutes.
 
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Mohammed Nuhu (Accra, Ghana) had two goals and one assist in a 6-2 Amherst win over Westfield State in a 1-1-0 week for the Mammoths. The senior scored the Mammoths’ first goal of the game and assisted on the game-winner early in the second half.
 
Bates – Finn Coburn (Scarborough, Maine) put the Bobcats ahead for good in the 53rd minute last Tuesday against Husson, breaking a 2-2 tie with the eventual game-winning goal as Bates prevailed 5-2. The first-year player also notched his first collegiate assist earlier in the contest. The rookie defender leads the Bobcats with five points.
 
Colby – Sophomore Grady Kirk’s (Sudbury, Mass.) first collegiate goal late in the first half helped the Mules earn a tie with No. 11 Williams on Saturday. 
 
Conn. College – Senior midfielder Marco Perugini (Medway, Mass.) led Conn. College to a 2-0-1 week. Perugini's highlight came Sunday afternoon at Colby. With the Camels trailing 1-0 with under 14 minutes remaining, Perugini evened the score with a penalty kick in the 77th minute before scoring the winning goal six minutes later to seal a 2-1 come-from-behind victory.
 
Hamilton – Julian Antezana (Fairfax, Va.) scored the Continentals' goal in their 1-1 tie with Clarkson. The goal was the first of the rookie’s collegiate career.
 
Middlebury – Senior Will Sawin (Stonington, Conn.) scored for the fourth consecutive contest in a 1-0 road victory over Amherst. The forward converted a free kick over a wall of Mammoth defenders and into the right side of the net in the 28th minute. The tally marked Sawin’s 20th of his career, the fifth of the game-winning variety, and helped snap Middlebury’s nine-match winless streak against the Mammoths.
 
Trinity – Trevor Saruwaka (Mutare, Zimbabwe) powered the Bantams to their first NESCAC victory since 2023, delivering a goal and an assist in 2-0 victory over Hamilton. In the eighth minute, Saruwaka netted the game-winning strike, working through the Continentals' defense and firing a rocket into the upper 90 from 30-plus yards out to put Trinity ahead 1-0. Saruwaka added an assist on the Bantams insurance tally in the 14th minute.
 
Tufts – In a 2-0-1 week for the Jumbos, Ben Brown (Concord, Mass.) contributed a goal and an assist across the three contests. The midfielder delivered his first assist of the season on the third and final goal of a 3-0 win over UMass Boston on Tuesday. In a scoreless draw against Conn. College on Saturday, the senior attempted two shots and played the full 90 minutes in a NESCAC battle. Brown notched his first goal of the fall in a 5-0 win over Thomas College on Sunday.
 
Wesleyan – Sam Adiutori (Rochester, N.Y.) kept a clean sheet, making four saves in a scoreless draw at Brandeis. The junior followed with four saves in a 1-0 loss at Bowdoin on Saturday. 
 
Williams – Senior midfielder Andrew Coelho (Gloucester, Mass.) scored his third collegiate game-winning goal in the 55th minute in a 1-0 victory against Gordon on Tuesday. Coelho added the equalizer in a 1-1 draw at Colby on Saturday.
