Why did you choose to be a Division III student-athlete?
I wanted to be a Division III student-athlete becauseI wanted to be able to get the highest education possible while also competing at a high level of soccer.
What is the best thing about being part of the NESCAC?
Being able to combine both academics and athletics, and striving to be very successful at both.
You have a blank canvas, paint your perfect day. What does it look like?
Wake up and get ready for the day, have team breakfast with the guys on the team, and compete in a NESCAC home game, win the game, and after the game, hang out with friends and family on campus.
What is your dream job/career?
My dream job is to be a successful businessperson because I want to be an entrepreneur who will change the lives of the people around me.
What extracurricular activities or service activities do you participate in?
I am a part of many clubs on campus. The Black Student Union (BSU) is important to me because I believe it is important for students of color to be able to have a space and community to support each other. Chess is a passionate hobby of mine, and I think it helps with cognitive development and decision-making. Lastly, I am also a member of the Black in Business Group because I believe it is important to support yourself with people with similar interests and goals to help teach and guide you to the destination you want to go to.
Looking back on your college years, what are you most proud of?
I am very proud of choosing Amherst College as my home for the last four years because I made meaningful connections and relationships with people I would not have met if I went anywhere else. Amherst has helped me grow and learn as a student-athlete and as a person.
Is there anything special about your uniform number?
I like #21 because one of my favorite soccer players growing up was Dybala, who wore that number, and he was a very good and successful player. The #21 has also brought me a lot of success, like winning NESCAC Rookie of the Year my first year when I first got that number.

What is something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
Rewatching JJK like a 1000 times.
If you weren’t playing your sport, what other sport would you want to try?
I would like to try being a track and field athlete because I enjoy running and racing.
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve received from a professor or mentor?
The best advice I have ever received was from my host family. They said, “It is okay to fail at something, but it is never okay to not try.” That's what I try to live my day-to-day by.
What internships/research projectshave you participated in?
I have been fortunate to be able to participate in a few internships. One in which I learned the most was working at Horizons National in New York City. I learned how to teach, mentor, and inspire the next generation of kids to be passionate about what they do. The internship taught me patience and how to be a good leader.
What’s a class outside of your major that you surprisingly liked?
I took a theater class last year, and I quickly learned that I love acting. I enjoy movies and shows and to be able to see the process actors/actresses go through to make it happen was fun.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete?
The greatest lesson I have learned from being a student-athlete is to be grateful for the opportunity to be able to do both. There are a lot of people in the world who do not have access to the kind of education we have at the NESCAC, and to be fortunate enough to go to a school like Amherst and play the sport I love the most is something I have not taken for granted.
What is your favorite place on your campus?
My favorite place on campus is Hitchcock Field, where we practice and play our games. It always brings a sense of tranquility and joy that most places do not.
Who has been the most influential person to you during your time in college?
My host family has been influential in their support of me in college by constantly being there for me whenever I need. They give great advice when I need them and my host mom cooks the best food I’ve had.
What is the most memorable moment of your career at your school?
The most memorable moment of my career at Amherst has been winning a national championship in 2024.Winning a national championship is the pinnacle of any collegiate sport, and to be fortunate enough to be part of a very good team that won it has been memorable.
What is something you enjoy doing when not in class or competing in your sport?
I love playing chess, cooking, and hanging out with my friends.
What skill do you have that has nothing to do with your sport?
I am good at learning new languages, I speak English and French, and two West African dialects, and currently I am learning German.
