The NESCAC placed 13 student-athletes on the 2025-26 Academic All-America Women's At-Large Team announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization. Middlebury senior Caroline Adams was named the NCAA Division III CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the Year. Adams, a member of the Middlebury women's lacrosse team, graduated as a double major in Neuroscience and Spanish and carried a 3.96 GPA. Adams joins former teammate Hoep Shue as the second consecutive Middlebury women's lacrosse player and NESCAC student-athlete to garner the Team Member of the Year honor.
This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined athletic and academic achievements. To be nominated, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) at their institution. A limit of six nominations per school is set. For field hockey and lacrosse, nominees must have competed in 90 percent of the team's total games played or have started 66 percent of the team's total games. For rowing, nominees must have competed in 90 percent of a team's competitions or compete as a member of an NCAA boat (1V8, 2V8, 1V4) at a conference or national championship.
For the Academic All-America® Women's At-Large Teams, student-athletes from the following sports are eligible - Women's Beach Volleyball, Women's Bowling, Women's Fencing, Women's Field Hockey, Women's Golf, Women's Gymnastics, Women's Ice Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Rifle, Women's Rowing, Women's Skiing, Women's Water Polo and Women's Wrestling.
