NESCAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week - April 7, 2026

Every Tuesday during the outdoor track & field season leading up to the NESCAC Championships, the conference will announce its men’s and women’s athletes of the week.
 
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Parker Boyle – Amherst – Jr. – Hong Kong
At the Amherst Spring Fling, Boyle won the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.86. The junior’s time ranks eighth in Division III.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Kane Demers – Bowdoin – Sr. – Albuquerque, N.M.
At the Emory Dooley Elite Meet in Atlanta, Demers won the long jump with a mark of 7.09 meters (23-3.25), achieved on his third attempt. Demers’ mark is the 14th best in Division III. 
 
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Simi Lawal – Tufts – Jr. – Brooklyn, N.Y.
At the Amherst Spring Fling, Lawal won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.69 seconds to break a 10-year-old Tufts record. Lawal’s time ranks second in Division II and the 23rd fastest time ever in Division III. Lawal was also a member of the Jumbo 4x100 relay team that broke Tufts' school record. The relay combined for a time of 46.37, the top time in Division III as of April 4.
 
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Kennedy Kirkland – Bowdoin – Jr. – Oakland, Calif.
Kirkland won the long jump at the Emory Dooley Elite Meet in Atlanta, Ga. The junior posted a mark of 5.73 meters (18-9.75) on her first attempt to claim victory. Kirkland’s mark ranks fifth in Division III.
