NESCAC Softball Player of the Week
Abby Alper – Trinity – Sr. – OF – Weston, Fla.
Alper led the Bantams to victories over Bowdoin and Colby, posting a 1.101 OPS out of the leadoff spot with six hits, six runs scored, four stolen bases, three walks, and two RBI. Against the Polar Bears, Alper went 3-for-6 with four runs scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI, while tallying two putouts with an assist from centerfield to prevent a game-tying run. The senior added a 3-for-7 day with two runs scored, two stolen bases, a double, and an RBI in a split with the Mules.
NESCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Ella DeCrescenzo – Wesleyan – Jr. – Brooklyn, N.Y.
DeCrescenzo strung together back-to-back complete game efforts, allowing no earned runs in 14 innings of work to earn a pair of wins over Colby and Williams. The junior opened the weekend going the distance in a complete game with no walks, three strikeouts, and one unearned run allowed as the Cardinals defeated the Mules 5-1 to clinch a sweep of Colby on Saturday. DeCrescenzo followed up with a complete game shutout, allowing eight hits and just one walk with one strikeout as Wesleyan defeated Williams 2-0 to earn a Sunday split on the road.

Amherst –
Lulu Leppard (Nashua, N.H.) hit a robust .647 (11-17) last week, recording hits in all six games in a 2-4 week. The sophomore compiled a .714 OBP in those games and a .980 slugging percentage. Leppard registered a double, triple and home run, while driving in five runs and scoring three times …
Gwen Regila (Cromwell, Conn.) went 2-0 last week for the Mammoths with a 0.38 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP. The rookie earned conference wins against Hamilton and Middlebury, throwing the first complete-game shutout of her career in the 3-0 win over the Panthers. In that game, she allowed eight hits while walking two and striking out seven. In a 3-2 win over Hamilton, she threw a complete game, giving up only two hits while walking eight and striking out 10. Over 18 2.3 innings last week, she allowed just one earned run.
Bowdoin – Sophomore
Maddie Paschke (Norfolk, Mass.) went 3-for-4 with the game-winning single in the seventh inning of the Polar Bears’ win at Trinity on Saturday.
Colby –
Carissa Cassidy (Columbus, Ind.) hit .563 (9-16) at the plate for the Mules, scoring three runs, driving in five, and tallying six stolen bases. The senior has posted career-highs in runs (32), hits (55), doubles (8), triples (8), and RBI (20), and is batting 0.491 on the season …
Sophia Meade (Guilford, Conn.) collected her 8th win of the season coming on in relief in Sunday's opener at Trinity. Entering the game in the bottom of the second with the Mules trailing 4-0, Meade held the Bantams to one hit and no runs through the remaining 5.2 innings, allowing Colby to climb back and win, 6-4.
Hamilton – Sophomore
Nikki Dyche (Albuquerque, N.M.) hit .462 (6-13) with two runs scored, three runs batted in, two doubles, and a walk in four games. Dyche handled 11 chances in the field without an error … Sophomore
Yael Everett (Ridgefield, Conn.) pitched all seven innings, struck out two, scattered five hits, walked two, and allowed one run in a 7-1 win against Amherst.
Middlebury – In a 2-2 NESCAC weekend for the Panthers,
Kristyn Carroll (Kinnelon, N.J.) hit .600 (9-15), scored five times alongside two runs batted in, two walks, and five stolen bases. Carroll’s best performance was a 4-for-5 outing with three runs scored as Middlebury secured an 11-2 victory over Williams. The Panther also logged a two-run inside-the-park homer in the squad’s 8-6 win at Amherst. During the doubleheader against the Mammoths, the outfielder earned a share of the program record for career games played alongside teammate McKenna Lont, passing the previous mark of 142 set by Jessa Hoffman. Carroll leads the squad with a .513 batting average, 59 hits, and 40 runs scored ...
Emily Ye (Alameda, Calif.) tallied a 1-0 record over three appearances in the circle for the Panthers. Entering the game in the bottom of the fourth tied at 4-4 in Game 1 against Amherst, Ye logged a 1-2-3 inning to keep the contest tied before Middlebury took the lead for good in the top of the fifth. The sophomore finished the contest with 3.2 innings pitched, three hits, and four strikeouts to help seal an 8-6 victory. Ye also had two more appearances in the circle, combining for 3.2 shutout innings and surrendering just four hits in Game 1 against Williams and the second contest versus the Mammoths.
Tufts –
Heaven Oliva (Ventura, Calif.) hit two home runs in the Jumbos' 14-9 win at Brandeis on Wednesday, giving her 11 for the season. The junior leads the NESCAC in home runs and has the most for a single season at Tufts since 2016 … First-year

Wesleyan – Waverly Smart (Franklin, Mass.) had at least one hit in all four games last week for Wesleyan. The junior reached base safely in five of six plate appearances against Williams on Sunday, going 2-for-2 with one walk in Game 1 before going 1-for-2 with one walk in Game 2. Katie Blanch (Rye, N.Y.) batted .462 (6-13), with two runs, one double, and one RBI, in a 3-2 week for the Ephs. In Game 1 versus Middlebury, the junior went 2-for-3 batting in a 6-1 win. Blanch finished 2-for-3 in the batter's box during Game 2 against Wesleyan … Senior captain
Sadie Leonard (Tiburon, Calif.) went 2-0 last week. In a seven-inning effort, Leonard pitched a four-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts in a 3-0 victory over Wesleyan in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Sunday. Leonard worked six innings and only gave up one run with seven strikeout in a 6-1 triumph against visiting Middlebury in Game 1 on Saturday.
