NESCAC Softball Player of the Week
Haley Leimbach – Tufts – Sr. – 1b/3B – Wantagh, N.Y.
Haley Leimbach hit .480 (12-25) with 10 runs scored and four RBI in six games, and played perfect infield defense as Tufts won five out of six games on its trip to the Triangle Collegiate Softball Classic in Raleigh, N.C. to start the season. Playing both third base and first base, the senior handled all 49 chances cleanly. Batting lead-off, she was 3 for 4 with two runs in a win over TCNJ and then went 4 for 5 with a double, a home run, and four runs scored in a victory against Mary Baldwin on Friday. Leimbach had two hits in both games on Sunday against Randolph-Macon and Lynchburg (both victories). While slugging .720 and getting on base at a .500 clip during the weekend, she also stole two bases

NESCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Sadie Leonard – Williams – Sr. – Tiburon, Calif.
Leonard earned a complete-game win with a two-hitter in a 2-1 triumph at Springfield in Game 1 of a doubleheader. Leonard struck out 15 batters and struck out the side in the first, third, fifth, and seventh innings, while also not allowing a single earned run in the game.

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – The Mammoths' season opener is scheduled for Sunday, March 15 in Florida.

Bates – Bates starts its 2026 season on Sunday, March 15 in Florida.

Bowdoin – Polar Bears open the 2026 season on Tuesday, March 10 in Florida.

Hamilton – Hamilton opens the 2026 on Sunday, March 15 in Florida.

MiddleburyReagan Adiletta (Darien, Conn.) went 5-of-8 from the plate as Middlebury tallied 9-1 and 11-2 triumphs over Plattsburgh State. The rookie opened the twin bill with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate that included a double and a triple. The Panther also had a game-high three RBI in Game 1. In Game 2, Adiletta went 2-for-3, which included another triple and RBI. The Panther added eight putouts and four assists over the doubleheader … Mia Gilha (Buffalo, N.Y.) m excelled in the circle, giving up one run over 4.1 innings pitched in an 11-2 victory over Plattsburgh State. The Panther also struck out three Cardinals and surrendered just three hits for her second win of the campaign.

Trinity – The Bantams' season opener is slated for Sunday, March 15 in Florida.

Tufts - One of three first-year pitchers on the Jumbos, Francesa Colangelo (Fairfield, Conn.) earned a win and two saves while Tufts finished 5-1 at the Triangle Collegiate Softball Classic in Raleigh, North Carolina over the weekend. The rookie recorded a 2.47 ERA and allowed just seven hits in 11.1 innings. She had a solid outing against second-ranked Virginia Wesleyan University on Saturday, giving up four hits and two runs in 4.2 innings.
