HADLEY, Mass. - The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) announced its men’s squash awards for the 2025-26 season, as voted by the league’s coaches.
Trinity senior Joachim Chuah was named the NESCAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The No. 1 player for the Bantams, Chuah won 15 matches this season and finished out his career with over 50 wins. A four-time All-NESCAC selection, Chuah helped Trinity win its 19th NESCAC Championship and its 18th CSA National Title during the 2025-26 campaign. Chuah's selection marks the 11th time a Bantam has been named NESCAC Player of the Year.
Amherst newcomer Roman Parisi was voted as the NESCAC Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the All-NESCAC First Team. Playing at the top of the ladder for the Mammoths, Parisi won 12 matches and helped Amherst extend its streak of qualifying for every NESCAC Tournament (19 straight). The Mammoths also reached the semifinals of the Hoehn Cup. Parisi is the first Amherst player to be named NESCAC Rookie of the Year and the first Mammoth to garner a major individual award in men's squash.
The Trinity coaching staff was selected as the NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year by their peers for the third year in a row. Led by head coach Moustafa Hamada and assistants Ashraf Yassin and Paul Assaiante, the Bantams won their 19th consecutive NESCAC title, posted a perfect 19-0 record, and won the program's 18th CSA National Title. The Trinity coaches have been selected as the NESCAC Coach/Coaching Staff of the Year seven times since 2008.
